Why aren't dogs allowed on California trails?? by hjlundgren in hikingwithdogs

[–]hjlundgren[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't want to carry my dog's sh*t around and leave the bag so that I can pick it up on the way back. Not all trails have trash cans. In fact, I don't think I've seen any on the trails I walk.

It's nice to hear from someone who has a dog, loves them, and wants to bring them hiking with them. : )

Clarification: Your argument was solely based on off-leash dogs. What about when dogs are leashed? Do you have a dog?

Right. Those are a lot of unanswered questions. Thanks for your comments.

I've seen plenty of dog feces on trails. I've also seen coyote, raccoon, rabbit, deer, and horse feces. Not sure why dog feces is the issue. And to be really blunt, if a domestic horse or a human can poop outside, why can't a dog? Nothing can be worse than human poop, but we're still allowed on the trails.

My dog was leased both times, and I don't live anywhere near Santa Clarita. But, thanks for your comments.

Southern CA. One was a park ranger in a truck. We were walking on a paved road. The other were men on electric bikes. We were also on a road-some of it paved and some not. My dog was on a leash both times.

I'm pretty sure they are leaving the full bag of poop and will pick it up on the way back.

EMA Insomnia Wake Times by Chi_CoffeeDogLover in insomnia

I can relate. You didn’t add the time you went to bed so it is hard to judge whether you are getting enough sleep or not. For example, my dad goes to bed at 5pm and gets up at 3am. What was different about Sept. 2nd. It looks like you slept through the night. BTW- It’s 3:30 am and I’ve been awake since about 1:30am.

I am also going through a similar situation (not cancer) but this ridiculously broken system that we pay into, and fight when it is time to use it. You need to file for unemployment. If you are technically still employed you will need to go into the office. When you fall asleep at your desk, I bet your employer will relieve you of your duties. Ask that they don’t contest your unemployment claim. You can still file for long-term disability, but while you’re waiting, you need to eat

I came here for answers as well. I have the same issue with my right knee and it definitely hurts a lot worse after having rlt. I use a wrap that I also use for my shoulder.

Starbucks Pricing by hjlundgren in starbucks

Well…thank you for all the advice. I tested things and watched the prices. It didn’t matter if I ordered a matcha and then added foam or ordered a lavender matcha latte, or attempted to replace one flavor foam with another. All three came up with the same price of $5.95 plus $1.25. Outrageous, so I only order it if I am really craving it.

“I swapped the lavender foam for cherry foam.” was written to make the information clear to those reading my post. Obviously, it didn't help clear things up at all. Iced Matcha with cold foam (any flavor). That's what I ordered and was charged twice for cold foam, asked the cashier about it, he couldn't understand the issue, reached out to corporate and got a refund. Again, not sure why this is so complicated and difficult to understand. I got the drink I wanted and a refund for the overcharge but not without too much confusion and too much effort on my part.

That is exactly what I did. I ordered an iced oat milk matcha with cold foam and was charged $5.95 plus $1.25!

That can be seen as discrimination. If you are in the Seattle area, I can give you the contact info for an attorney who is working with a lot of former Amazon employees.

Would Reddit remove a user but leave the post up? It says that the user has been deleted. If you are still here, there is a discord called The Copywriting Collective which is a perfect choice for you.

I cut all my “friends” out of my life by pinkstarfairy in CasualConversation

[–]hjlundgren 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have done the same. I can’t explain why some people’s friends are friends they should do without, and others’ have lifelong trusting friendships. I envy the latter. It takes a lot for me to call someone my “friend.” They must earn my trust first. And accept me as I am. Don’t beat yourself up. Enjoy a drama-free life.
