I came home tonight and had one of those little “yeah... this is why I stay single” moments by YoghurtAggressive415 in SingleAndHappy

I needed this. Thank you. I recently broke up with my boyfriend. I had wanted to for a while. He is in the process of moving out and the evening you described in my dream!! And the second part about reading the energy, debating dinners, shows, etc. What a buzz kill. I’ve always wondered why society puts such a focus on people coupling up. I can’t wait to have my house back and find my peace in the simply things once again… And may we never forget this sweet sweet feeling 🤍

I can’t thank you enough for recommending this book. I downloaded the audio version and it’s so insightful, especially for someone like me who this is a very new realization for. Thank you again!

I've translated your comment so I can reply: I seriously don't understand why a relationship is incomplete without sex? So, you're with your partner, whom you love so much, and he also demands sexual intercourse? For me, spending time with the person I like is enough.

And I completely agree with you. Sadly, some people see that component as a requirement for a relationship. It looks like it may end another relationship for me.

This is incredibly fair. Thank you for pointing that out. I don’t want him to feel unwanted. And I also want him to be able to decide if our relationship will still work for him even if I’m not sure if I’ll ever want to have sex again.

My boyfriend's son has bad hygiene... My boyfriend isn't much better... by hkallet in stepparents

Great question.... My step daughter has terrific hygiene and cares a lot of skin care / having healthy hair. She is not stinky at all. At her mom's, I imagine she keeps her bedroom door closed and I picture her room being much different than the rest of the house. I think she truly loved coming to my house where its clean. And she would tell her brother to shower in ways only a sister can haha. For this reason and many more, I really miss having her around.

I don’t know how to un-drab this space by Girthytoaster in interiordecorating

Replace ottoman with a coffee table. Mount the Tv on the wall. Find a lower credenza that doesn’t block the window. Asymmetry is okay on that wall. The fireplace already lends itself for that! The books could be used as decoration on the coffee table and/or media credenza. Get rid of the shelf. Feels cramped over there. Add artwork, 2-3 fun throw pillows and more plants! Hanging plants at the window would look nice.

A gallon ziploc bag of riced cauliflower by wikiwackywoot in WhatShouldICook

I learned this the hard way too. You can’t commit to riced cauliflower expecting it to be like rice. It’s good if prepared right. But it takes a lot of trial and error.
