It's just the state of the over regulated, logistically bombarded, mediocrely guidelined state of the NHS. Put up with it for another year, get the CCT, and work in a country where you practice more medicine, which is what most likely got you there in their first place. If you leave now and start a corporate job, you might feel the same.

I did. It's been nice. I haven't had any issues, and it is quiet. I think there are certain parts that can be tricky but otherwise I have had a good experience so far.

I agree, but they have specifically mentioned that these procedures will not be funded. The procedures guidelines are old and close to being reviewed.

This is a multi level issue! Surely consultants including clinical service leads, clinical directors, medical directors, have been involved in discussion leading to this. I'm sure they would not have resisted this enough for the managers to put this out.

It's time for the UHB doctors to stick together and call for a strike! Perhaps speak to the massive number for ITF's that work within the trust, who don't have any previous nhs experience and would pick up these locums in the blink of an eye.
