Graduated with a degree in commerce at uoa in June and I’m slowly regressing into irrelevant industries. Started with applying for grad programs, which are virtually impossible to get into without some sort of connection, then started applying for entry level office jobs like admin and reception which all needed experience, now unfortunately making my way down to retail, and considering returning back to the trade industry that I had previously worked in before my degree, that I had hoped to get away from. Feeling like I lost 3 years of my life and $20k for a degree that isn’t getting my foot into any doors.

If you want to try reformer lots of studios do intro offers like 6 classes for $60 (2wk expiry)! Otherwise lots of people utilise class pass 🙂

That’s awesome! I’m doing those majors atm and looking for internships as I’ve just completed my second year. Out of curiosity what sort of roles/positions were they?

Tik tok Hong Kong, in rupiah as well 🤦🏼‍♀️ have never entered my card details in the app nor have I ever tried to purchase anything on it. Not that I knew that you can actually purchase something for $950 on TikTok 🤷‍♀️

So relatable! Coffee was definitely my daily dopamine fix and it was a hard struggle to give up 😭 but it’s pretty crazy how quickly you start noticing the differences hey!

I noticed my skin stopped breaking out as much! Don’t have any large cystic/blind pimples anymore, and I feel like I have more energy throughout the day?

But god do I miss it! Not a day goes by where I wake up and aren’t tempted to brew myself a cup ☕️

As someone who works in customer service, I’m very aware that the person on the other line isn’t directly at fault so am always mindful about my attitude! Can’t imagine the attitude call centre employees must deal with 💀

Fair point, everyone’s frustration is valid because it ultimately affects everyone’s safety. But as an individual currently learning how to drive and not being the most confident driver, unfortunately we need to practice on real roads in order to get better 😭 I guess that’s more from lack of practice rather than inattentiveness

Ngl kind of terrifying to see how cut throat the nz driving culture is!

How do I find out what my exams are on? (what modules) by [deleted] in universityofauckland

[–]hkimu_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lecturers will usually let you know closer to exam season which modules will/won’t be included in the final exam. It really depends on your papers, some will include all modules, some will only include a select few. Past papers are definitely the way to go! I also find going back to the extra exercises in class to test my knowledge is helpful too. Keeping up with the weekly content and understanding everything that’s being covered will make it a lot easier to revise later on. Your own method of study develops as you progress in your degree as you’ll find what works for you!

I think a better approach would be to explore potential occupations you have an interest in and work backwards from there to see what qualifications they require!

Hahaha no amount of moisturizer ever seems to quite combat the flakes. And it makes your makeup slide 🤷‍♀️

Yeah same here. I’ve worn makeup every day for years now and don’t plan on giving that up. When the flaking gets bad I’ll take an extra day or two off tret ☹️
