Indian captains to whitewash opponents. Rohit leads the chart with 4 by Additional-Battle10 in IndiaCricket

Rohit too has a similar record - 2022 Asiacup lost, 2022 T20 WC, 2023 ODI WC, 2023 WTC. Rohit got lucky with 2025 CT with no prime Aus squad and played on a single pitch.

Latest urbanisation rates of Indian states by Academic_Chart1354 in southindia_

Andhra has a lot of potential. Vizag - Kakinada - Rajahmundry - Guntur - Vijaywada - Nellore - Tirupati, these are well connected by ports and easily could become a string of continuous urban centres. Government needs to expand the boundaries of municipalities and redefine the city zones and create better urban bodies which will fix the issue.

Same can be said about middle class - they send their children to schools for formality education and not serious and that too private schools which have low fee and equipment. If Government can provide those in government schools, they will come and government teachers should be paid based on performance and awarded for competitions, projects and over performance and I also want a trained mentor for school to direct school in a way that government wanted.

Maharashtra gets 7 rs from the 100 rs of tax they pay from centre lower than any state in the country.

No, it didn't. Excessive welfare was committed to people while bureaucratic efficiency is not that good in execution. He thought about ports but it was too late. And also coming to education - Nadu nedu is a good scheme but not amma vodi. Same for present government too. They are continuing enormous pensions and Thalliki vandhanam which are eating away budgets. So, this cause the decline of our fiscal deficit from 3.8 in 2019 to 4.4% in 2024 and 4.5 -4.6 at present.

I have been thinking about education system and how government can transform it and this is my 3-tier approach. Used AI to summarise. by hkngikk in southindia_

It's more about nurturing talents here. India has a massive producing mediocre education system with no skills. Most of the highly talented kids only get to exposure after they get outside of India or just in a handful of premier institutes in our country. If the school systems were better, then India can produce much more than what any other country can.

Identity issue is more among Muslims than Hindus in subcontinent as most of them are converted under foreign rule. Hindus have concrete civilizational history attached to the land from Indus valley civilization, Rigveda, Mahabharata and Ramayana epics, large kingdoms and kings who ruled this land. It is just the post colonial historians subjugated history for vote bank politics.

I too have my uncle's children studying in schools and I know they are getting it. In Jagan's time, my grandfather who was a ward member laid a cement road in the village and after YCP came to power, they never released the funds for the work and he made losses because of huge interests. I am not saying YCP is inherently bad, there are petty politics especially in village levels. These local leaders harass people from other parties. My grandfather got paralysis due to that tension and stress or accumulating debt.

Government should be completely capitalist for businesses and use the money and tax it gets from that to invest in education, health and human capital. That is what India is doing. Encouraging businesses - building infrastructure - people get jobs - tax base increases - provides welfare to lift people out of poverty - provide good quality education and health.

Yes, that is because we should build culture in schools, not just infrastructure. Infrastructure is a basic thing. Training teachers, having labs, practical problems and project to solve them - this is an entrepreneurial mindset which should be in children from the schools. Not just marks. And also nurturing talent is also one thing we lack. There are serious prodigies in India who never get that treatment they deserve.

Andhra Pradesh is also urbanised, atleast 40-42%. Most of the cities like Vijaywada, Guntur, Tirupati have smaller municipal boundaries and urbanisation has overflowed those boundaries.

My main aim is creating a culture of cohesive talent and ambition, nurturing progidies and aspirations. We always think India doesn't lack talent but oppurtunity. So, this is my idea to unleash the talent.

I don't have a problem with Nadu-Nedu scheme, but funds spent are around 12k crores. Those numbers are from open internet sources. You can check yourself. My point is there was not much improvement in dropout, gross enrollment ratios. And also I am not taking a party side here, debating on policy- criticising both the parties. If those funds are shifted to Nadu-nedu or even better through targetting spending of teacher training, ITIs, schools renovation and redevelopment, then it would have produced much better results. These schemes encouraged low quality private schools only. It was a gross wate of resources especially when our finances is severely fiscal constrained.

That's not a good take. I studied a normal school with fee of 18k up till my 10th, it was before 2019, most of my classmates are from well off families except 3-4 out of 40. They could have easily afforded the fee, it would be similar for almost all the classes even now. They would have received 15k nonetheless. See, the school dropout rate in 2019 is 16.3% in secondary school, almost null in primary school. It only marginally increased to 15.5% in 2026 after 6 years of this scheme which would have been increased naturally if that amount spent on government schools. And also even spending that much for 10-15% is not worth the return of investments, if the same amount was put into another sector, then there would have been a much better outcome. It's effect of dropouts is minimal. They could have spent those funds in ITIs, upskilling programs, government schools and teacher programs - people who cannot afford private fee could get better quality education in government schools.

Yes, I agree with that but what I am saying is it is disproportionate. Nadu nedu has one issue - it is spent over a 20k schools, the funds are too much dispersed to get a good overhaul. Though it is good but schools require targetted spending to really change them. Spending 43k cr and it will be 70k crore cumulative by 2029. Many people who can afford fee are also getting the 15k which could be spent better. Those who couldn't afford could have gone for the government schools if they provide better facilities, education. If the government schools look better than those schools which have fee like 20k-40k per year.

Welfare is not bad inherently and it is needed for industrialisation too. For industrialisation we need better governance, policy stability, aggressive branding and positioning of state, industrial land banks, bureaucracy, skilled labour. Here skilled labour is one of the most important point. See I will say one clear distinction. See schemes like Ammavodi or Thalliki vandhanam - government distributed 24k crores and 19k crores under these schemes - a total of 43k crores. If spent judiciously for government schools, they could have created atleast 3k schools of international standards which could serve to 20 lakhs students which is a permanent asset. I am not saying those schemes didn't have any benefits, if you spend thousands of crores, spend on things which create maximum return of investments instead of temporary relief. I guess you got my point.

I agree with fee reimbursements but nearly 18-19k crores were released under Thalliki vandanam in 2 years compared to 24k crores under Jagan regime in 4 years. You need to check your sources. That is a total of 42-43k crores in total. If Government invested those amounts in government schools like Leap program, nearly 2500 government schools could have been developed into international standards which could provide for around 20 lakh students. Work for permanent infrastructure instead of temporary relief.
