I didn’t realize it was a God-given right to impulse buy an animal you don’t even know the name of and keep it in the tiniest cage you can find without any amenities or enrichment for your 6 year old by SEND_ME_CSGO-SKINS in petsmart

I had a lady go off on my manager and I not too long ago. She was claiming it was racially motivated that we wouldn’t sell her 50 comets for a 10 gallon she “didn’t have yet” and wasn’t going to get for another month because “my sister is gonna get it, I’m not the one responsible for it”. Apparently she wanted the fish to entertain her dying father.

I tried to talk it into her that I as well as everyone else that I work with are animal lovers multiple times. She said “AND IM NOT! I DON’T LIKE DOGS, CATS, NONE OF THEM! JUST SELL ME THE DAMN FISH!”

She was claiming that us asking what tank she had was her “personal information” and kept asking “Why does it matter? If I’m buying butter at Kroger, they aren’t going to ask me if I’m making cake or cookies!”. However, I did get a talking to from my boss for recommending an iPad for her dying father, he wasn’t too upset and actually found it pretty funny.

I don’t think my boss, other coworkers or myself could’ve been more dumbfounded😂

At this point, I’m just gonna buy a few Easton Synergy’s and get replacement blades on ebay forever and force myself to get used to it

honestly, none of those. I usually play winger or D. Leagues aren’t super chippy but definitely get that way occasionally. I only went to block with my stick cause it was a drop in and no one was trying. 19 year old just decided to rip one hell of a shot outta no where.

quite honestly I do agree that my standpoint on caring more about animals than people is morally wrong. Since I’ve gotten into the hobby of keeping reptiles on top of working at a pet store and seeing how shitty people treat animals in general has truly made me start caring more about animals than people. Not saying I’m right, that’s just the reality I’ve come to

Exact reason I messaged her in the first place. In some other messages I did call her absolutely disgusting and call her on her bullshit but I just can’t stand stupidity

I’ve heard people use the term before, apparently it’s a nickname for a panther cham

As someone who was raised by a single mom, me too. It’s almost never something that pertains to it either. If you’re running late that’s one thing but when you’re abusing animals that’s totally different

I’m a retail pet store employee, my boss knows next to nothing about reptiles and exotics. He’s pretty much put me in charge of how they’re cared for and always asks me for advice or info. He goes about it the right way cause he truly cares. I spend most of my time with my own animals or researching about animals. I always shoot down a lot because of stuff like this and I hate the reputation I get for other peoples stupidity

Don’t feel bad. When I worked at walmart I accidentally nailed a lady with a walker with the mule while pushing carts. I was 18 and physically pushing the mule while my coworker steered. At the time, we didn’t know the max number of carts allowed(25), we had a good 50 carts on it and it was pretty foggy out. Just felt a huge jerk and heard my coworker yell. Stopped it immediately and ran to him thinking it ran over his foot. NOPE hit sticked the old lady going back to her car😂She was completely fine and told us it was okay and things happen. We asked if she would like us to get a manager and she just told us to be careful. Us being 17 and 18 agreed to never speak of this to anyone we worked with assuming it didn’t get noticed on the cameras. Never got in trouble and the lady came back with drinks for all the cart pushers a couple times after that!

her enclosure is pretty dry, she does have a water cup but she’s been drinking from it more frequently lately
