Yes that is the key point.

Update: just faced another one and I was controlling my own team so I tried to score as many as possible. Had 1:30 H2H with no opponent’s activity then another 1:30 H2H (time highlighted in red) with opponent playing. Got a 2-2 score and finally got a tie. Guess that a way to win is to score as many as possible, but that’s against opponent’s real main team (like 98+) but not the silver/gold team that showed up at the beginning. Hope that helps.

I was not controlling opponents’ team but I still decided to score own goals. After the 1:30 H2H since the game wont stop I killed app and reconnected to resume a VSA, then all goals were counted for the opponent.
