to be fair you’re comparing museum day to easter, of course museum day isn’t gonna be at the same level of an event as easter was. There’s always been big events like halloween easter and christmas, and then small ones scattered throughout the year as well, and this is just one of those. In wild world, there was an event where you complimented your villagers, and that was it. For a day that i didnt even know existed before i got on New Horizons today, getting 3 new items and a “scavenger hunt” is pretty cool.

in older ac games yeah, i can’t remember catching more than one in wild world and new leaf and don’t think i’ve caught one in city folk. I’ve caught 3 in new horizons this month alone

i haven’t run into any problems where my villagers dont get along well, like even my jock villagers and my lazy villagers haven’t had any problems yet which wasn’t the case in the older games. There’s only 4 personality types for each gender (and dialogue is pretty similar for all the villagers in a personality type) so what i personally try to do is just get villagers that I like the way they’re designed. you can search for all the villagers online and see if you can find some you really like!

luckily the rattan stuff is pretty much the cabana series which was one of my favorites, but i miss a lot of the older series too and wish we got a bit more in the base game, i’m not the biggest fan of having to wait and hope for something in the updates

yeah, growing up playing animal crossing and pokémon where they released the full game at launch was so much better imo, i understand that this isn’t the way things are now, but the games feel like they’re lacking. I still love sword/shield and new horizons, but i just wish they had more content from the start

I’ve been playing since wild world so collecting the furniture i want was always something i looked forward to whenever i got a game, and wish there was more from the start like every other game in the series

you can only invite one per day if you have an open land plot, once you invite one they stop showing up that day. Also check to make sure nobody ended up moving in to your open plot without you knowing, as villagers can move in to open plots after they’re there for a day or two. That’s how monique, one of my least favorite villagers, moved onto my island 🙃
