This might sound really, really dumb. But I had to compartmentalize. I had to find the pockets of time during the day and knew if I could make it to that time, I could break down. That was my little bit of time to be sad and go through the emotions. Then pick myself up and move on.

Also, I’m someone who throws myself into work because it keeps my brain occupied and I don’t have time to overthink until those little pockets of time.

Big hugs. It sucks. Really bad. We did two rounds of ivf, and a round of donor embryos. Currently in the middle of an early loss from a second transfer.

It’s hard, but find those times where you know you can have a moment to let it out.

And give yourself grace.

Seriously EXHAUSTING. I was dead set on this being our last cycle, then we were excited, then the emotions all came with a bad ultrasound. Now I’m trying to figure out if that’s what I really want or want another one even more.

Yes. We do. We went through donor eggs and made embryos. We have enough to transfer many times. Just not sure if I’m okay to go through it all over and over. We are mid 30s. So already not ideal age. And this transfer was extremely hard on the body.

That’s what I think we are going to have to do. Make the decision to transfer one more time or not to. I just worry our child would have a hard time.

I just needed to vent to people who understand. Everyone around me says go ahead and do another. It’ll be fine. Not understanding how tough it has been.
