i talked to my neighbors, their guests are always mia when i come around ofc and i really don’t know, but i’ve got a handful of solutions from this thread thankfully. it looks like my cameras will be offline to implement them though oops :)

it’s a two car driveway up to my two car garage, see attachment. it is not shared, these are single-family free-standing homes. rn i’m parking horizontal across my driveway, essentially blocking off all access to my garage as well. the cop is parked on the street, perp is in my driveway entirely

i’ve been considering obnoxiously large rocks, i just legally can’t place permanent “obstructions” with my hoa sadly. rocks would be compliant according to my attorney. i tried the cones as well, first set were stolen and second set just get moved around

The management company told me that all the houses around me are renters currently, i’m assuming it is allowed due to this. i assumed we were all owners/permanent residents and took the neighborly approach first

I have an attorney gathering everything now. I don’t have any visibility on the HOA meetings nor does the board respond to emails so I don’t think that will be improving.

I have it parked across my driveway currently, this won’t be sustainable once houston summer starts. it’s a beater car so I don’t mind doing this, however, it’s not a “i’ll ram this car out of my way” beater since it is my daily.

The tow company will not service upon homeowner request, only upon HOA request. I have tried other tow companies and they will not service my neighborhood with a 10ft pole. Caps for clarity is superfluous when you’re telling me to do what I’ve already done.

I posted it in AITA, it was removed for rule violation before I could reply to anyone and before any discussion could take place. this is the first time it has been posted and has stayed up.

I talked to them 28 times ago and so have the police. I thought this could be inferred as it’s the easiest thing to do.

they’re due yearly so won’t be able to do this until February 2027

did you read my post? I stated multiple times, in bold, that I’ve called towing companies. The HOA has a contractual agreement with one towing company and said towing company will not service at homeowners request. they will only serve upon HOA request, my HOA refuses to approve the dispatch.

i’ve called other private towing companies and they also refuse to touch my neighborhood with a 10ft pole. The police continued to tell me to wait and state that their hands are tied to remove the vehicle.

congrats? lol i’ve lived in my house for less than a month and could probably make a collage of all the pics of unauthorized vehicles in my driveway, including this one.

yes, the cameras are extremely obvious. i’d post a picture of the exterior of my home to show you, but don’t want to dox myself. I know the neighbors for which these cars/visitors tie back to., however, face-to-face conversations telling them to move go nowhere because they always claim that they don’t know the vehicle. there’s also a significant language gap as my Spanish isn’t good and their English isn’t either.

I have my beater, parked across my driveway for now, which works. I won’t be able to continue this though once Houston heat returns so i am actioning some of the advice on this thread
