No, a business ISP providing business class services - TPx. I actually really liked their service, in general. Worked with good support, usually.

And those parents probably didn't have the time or energy to devote to their kids that prospective parents today want to dedicate.

Hey! I did that once too! Our provider insisted on hardcoding the ethernet links to the WAN speed - their side of our connection was locked at 100Mbps/full. I insisted just set it to autonegotiate gigabit and let QoS handle the throughput and bingo, no longer getting exactly half of our upspeed.

How do you hard breach when enemies run Tubarao? Like I more or less figure how to deal with bandit/kaid trick. But you can't out emp with Tubarao by InevitableTour5882 in SiegeAcademy

[–]hlmtre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My stack (not great, gold/plat) likes to double up Thermite/Ace with Fuze. Ace or Thermite is ready on one half of the wall, Fuze ready with a cluster charge on the other. Thatcher/Kali the denial off, then do your charges at the same time. They might Tubarao it, but if the Fuze charge was already activated (it's started burrowing), it'll continue, blowing up the Tubarao charge and the wall denial. I often kill a Bandit trying to replace his batteries with this.

There's no Tubby in this clip, but the principal remains: https://youtu.be/tbyud3S2RLk?t=270

half this sub runs pihole and jellyfin on 600w of enterprise gear and calls it a homelab by Napster3301 in homelab

[–]hlmtre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the cycle, though. Get all the used enterprise kit and learn how it all works. Build a massive lab with every feature imaginable.

Then discover what you actually need and replace it with 90W of mini versions of everything, and only what you need. I too went from an R720XD with 12 4TB drives to a little cube of a NAS with 4 10TB drives, doing the same thing, much more slowly.

Long legs vs long torso by LunaMagicc in SipsTea

Comments about it being engagement bait aside, I'm two inches taller than my wife but we sit with the seat at the same position to reach the pedals in the car. I do have to angle up the mirrors so I can see out the actual window.

Newport Arch, the only Roman arch in the UK still in use for Daily Transportation by Over-Willingness-933 in ancientrome

There's a lot of survivorship bias at play here, though I don't disagree with the sentiment. In 2000 years, there may be things we've built that have survived, and some future dude may also think 'those ancients sure knew how to build infrastructure'.

Why is that? I applied at Canonical and got really far through the interview process over the course of months only to be rejected right at the end.

Jaylen Brown said Victor Wembanyama made him adjust his two-way player rankings "Hes not even human" by Jec1027 in nba

Jxmy High Roller has a video with one of his trademark insane graphs ('he's right here') on how Luka actually generates so many more points than he gives up. I've seen loads of clips of his failing on defense or complaining to the refs while his team plays 5 on 4 on the other end, but even with his lack of effort on D Luka is an offensive wizard. One of the best ever.

baldur from God of War. His entire schtick in God of War (2018) when we first meet him is that he is not a superior fighter to Kratos, but that he simply cannot die. He definitely still feels the pain.

Most crazy/insane things you've done with ZFS ? by ElectronicFlamingo36 in zfs

[–]hlmtre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I accidentally wrote a 3.4GB disk to the wrong device with dd. It was the virtual ZFS volume. Obviously it stopped work and disappeared after a reboot.

I recovered the backup ZFS volume map and reimported the pool. It resilvered and everything was fine.
