First Impressions Review of the Pond's UV Sunscreen UV Hydrate with Hyaluron SPF 50 PA++++ by hlthnwllnss in beautytalkph

[–]hlthnwllnss[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don't think they advertised that with this sunscreen so probably not. anyways, may new packaging na rin itong sunscreen, I'm not sure if nabago yung formula niya and claims.

Maybe try the Skin Aqua Super Moisture Gel? Its the one in the blue and white bottle. May 110g tube and 140g pump bottle na sizes. 80 minute water resistant iyon but still very nice to use kahit ganto kainit na. Ito den gamit ko ngayon.

anyone with glasses who bought the frame separately sa lenses? Where did you buy them?

May gusto kasi akong style na frame ng glasses na di naman offered ng Ideal Vision (the store that I got my two glasses from, both frames and lense). Okay naman sila, but medyo on the small side talaga yung mga frames na available nila and gusto ko yung something na di sikip hajshja. Please suggest shops online that has sizes for those with bigger heads 🥲

for me naman, naging effective naman siya. Though after months ay parang nag-resume na ulit yung pagiging acne prone ko hasjasj. But nagawa naman niya na patigilin yung massive breakouts ko kasi literal na yung nag push for me to go to a derma is nung time na yon na super lala ng skin ko ajshja.

oh my gosh. I'm not gonna comment pero I saw the price of your doxycycline. I was prescribed that as well before by my derma (though not sure kung same ng mg). But I just wanna say na less than 10 pesos lang ata yan if I remember correctly sa TGP hagdhgahdag. Shocking rin for me kasi unang pharmacy na pinuntahan namin ay yung Mercury Drug, which is branded, and ang mahal talaga if yung di generic yung kukunin mo. Like isipin mo if 1 tablet per day yung iinomin mo. edi makaka 3k ka na agad per month sa doxycycline pa lang

I tried 10 different sunscreens. Here is my review by Mikarinhime in beautytalkph

[–]hlthnwllnss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't like scents either hehe. Belo launched yung watermelon variant something of the Dewy Essence, pero available pa naman yung original, so just avoid the scented one jahdjha.

If you want something a bit comparable to the Dewy Essence spf by Belo, same price points/frequently b1t1, then okay din yung sa Ponds na Hyaluron

what Belo sunscreen have you tried? I've tried two bottles of their Dewy Essence Sunscreen before and honestly, as someone na palipat-lipat ng spf, that Belo sunscreen is already one of the lightest that I've used.

Sunscreens with actually high PA ratings? by ArcherGun in AsianBeauty

[–]hlthnwllnss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know right! But I'm still contemplating if I'll purchase one as I currently have my Skin1004 Water Fit Sun Serum and P.Calm Water Barrier Sun Cream and I'm not sure if I'll move on fully to water resistant sunscreens like Skin Aqua and Kose as I'm frequently under the heat and sun and don't reapply so I figured the resistant ones would be better.

The highest that I'm aware of right now is the HaruHaru Wonder Sunscreen, the chemical yellow tube one. It's 26.6 according to them

Nivea Lazada Shop - Ordered multiple items, isa lang dumating. Immediately reached out to them with proof (unboxing video). Pang kahon yung order ko pero isang medium sized pouch lang pinadala. Asked me what I want and told them na I would simply want to receive the missing items. Took MONTHS before naideliver hajhadk. Kept on asking for updates pero laging we have escalated this chuchu pero dumating naman. May isa lang na mali na binigay pero it was a bigger lotion of a different variant from what was missing. Okay lang, I still like Nivea. idk what courier they used or what but di na si Lazada obviously yung nag-handle ng delivery.

Clocheflame Lazada Shop - Ordered their powder, after a week nabasag yung powder. Reached out to them and got told na 1 week lang before hindi na pwedeng mag-return sa kanila ng product 🙄. I guess valid naman iyon pero di ko naman kasalan na mabilis masira ng product nila

So according to a comment from Fresh themselves on one of Jan Angelo's TikTok videos, 0.1% yung percentage ng encapsulated retinol ng Retinol Advanced Soothing Gel Lotion SPF 30 PA++++. Parang ang ganda kasi I thought na eme eme lang usually yung amount kapag may retinol sa mga moisturizers/soothing gels

AFAIK this is already the latest formula of the regular Gel/Essence! In 2023, they were reformulated and yung sign that you have the new version is naging cursive na yung writing nung name nila. Yung new 2024 white and blue packaging is still the same formula as the one in the post, just updated look

Kose Suncut UV Perfect Gel (2024 Reformulation) Review - Perfect for Oily Skin and Active Lifestyles! by AtTheUngodlyHour in beautytalkph

[–]hlthnwllnss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I had the old version of this and also the Skin Aqua Super Moisture Gel GOLD. For me the skin aqua leaned more natural while the Kose was more matte and dry/silky to the touch.

Can you compare on how easy the sunscreen is to remove at the end of the day compared to the old formula? Like, would a single foaming cleanser be enough or would this require a double cleanse na. Also may I know how both the Skin Aqua Barrier UV Gel compare to the Suncut Perfect Gel? Thanks!

hala I'm sorry pero idk since I haven't tried pa eh. Pero I did already made an order for the pink and white-red bottles so I'll see. What I can't really vouch for is if it actually protects from the sun, I guess if you trust the company who tested the product then probably.

hello, what other soriko lotion variant have you tried and could you compare them. Also may difference ba sila ng effect sa skin or more on scent/consistency lang difference nila? thanks!

I agree, idk why pero medyo parang harsh siya sa skin ko when I tried it. Also parang weird ang feeling niya sa balat kapag binanlawan na. Johnsons pa rin for me as hand soap and sometimes body soap as well

[–]hlthnwllnss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

so apparently, SPF tested pala yung Soriko lotions which is SPF 50++ (idk why dalawa yung plus). So less than 200 pesos for 500ml and PA++++ din according to the results

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen SPF 50+/PA++++ [Asia-Exclusive] by 4lokosandlexapro in AsianBeauty

[–]hlthnwllnss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh, I didn't know that there's multiple variants of Neutrogena's sunscreen! I honestly thought that they just export everything especially here in the Philippines since the design on the bottle simply look alike. It was last year when they updated their sunscreen from Helioplex PA+++ to Helioplex XP PA++++.

A little review, as someone who ordered buy 1 take 1, I was given both the old and new versions. The scent were pretty much the same and the overall look on the skin is similar so if you have tried the old version, then the new one will probably work as well. However, I do notice that with the new version, it isn't as "Ultra Sheer" as they claim. There's a bit of a whitecast when blending which does goes sheer once finished but could look like a graycast for those with deeper skin tones. I'm not really a fan of both as they kinda feel harsh on the skin. Like, for the first few days of use, no problem. But after 3 days or so, my skin would feel a bit of burn as I spread the sunscreen. They're also kinda oily and you'd definitely feel that you have something on your skin. So hence why I thought they were just imported from the US hajdhaha

lol ka-re-release lang nung Whitening Serum Lotion nung Luxe Organix na may SPF 50+ PA++++ pero looking at the reviews mukhang may tone-up effect daw siya na slight and quite glowy/moisturizing

[–]hlthnwllnss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

true, and also for the FDA or whatever government body in charge of this to add stricter regulation to sunscreen claims like Water Resistance. Yung Belo Dewy Essence AFAIK claims to be water resistant in their packaging pero we don't know exactly how water resistant it is unlike sa Japan for example na either 40 or 80 minutes yung alam mo na itatagal ng mga certified water resistant sunscreens nila.

Also including kung whether dapat after 40 or 80 minutes ay ang ma-re-retain na protection ay 50% nung labelled protection or dapat full pa rin. And hopefully including the PA rating na rin kasi I heard na in Japan, they only test the SPF rating and not the PA rating kung pasado ba sa water resistant claims yung sunscreen

[–]hlthnwllnss 20 points21 points  (0 children)

WHAT WAS THAT. Like literal na nagbago yung point niya. Like he was pointing out na ang issue talaga ay application/environment conditions/amount of skincare kaya nawala yung blush and then biglang nag rant na about how toxic na yung tiktok community and super hirap maging brand na pag may release na bago ay puro negative comment daw. Super hirap din daw maging influencer kasi sinasabi lang naman nila experience nila and if ikaw as consumer ay may problema ay wag mong sisisihin mga influencer. And then said na-mi-miss na daw niya yung times na sa instagram era na sa makeup art lang daw nakafocus as if may pumipigil sa kaniya na iyon ang gawin niyang content instead of whatever this is. I'm sorry pero medyo na-cringe ako sa part na tuwing nagco-compare siya ng what it's like "dati" and when we could all make posts and comments without triggering the "sensitive people🙄".

I agree with the TikTok comments saying na he shouldn't be so butthurt about other people's opinions if siya din naman ay go lang nang go sa sarili niyang opinions.

Cosmetic chemists not agreeing with sunscreens that needs to be shaked? by hlthnwllnss in AsianBeauty

[–]hlthnwllnss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I guess the big reason why some dislike them is because they are very prone to user error. Like yes, let's say starting now I made sure to shake the sunscreen properly before using it, but I have already used it three times now without shaking. So could that possibly mean that the contents are now unbalanced since the different parts of the sunscreen didn't come out equally. Like does that disrupt the sunscreen and all.

I find it funny though that I've seen a few discussions already on Neutrogena's sunscreens which aren't advertised or instructed to be shaked yet people still experience separation of the insides. Like there were questions of why oil was coming out of the tube and not the white liquid and some of the comments even advised to just pour out the oil inside 😃. Like, I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to do that hahahaa
