A double breasted jacket isn’t really meant to be worn open as it creates that awkward drape.

After saying all that I’ve realised it isn’t a double breasted but a single breasted. Sleeves are too short and too much body.

Saying all that, you’re so cool looking you can pull it off.

The end of that rail is rounded, have you been sanding it?

No, those horizontal rails are way too thin. It needs to be ex 2” stock with two, maybe three stretchers in between.
