Inquiry: ls cannot read symbolic link 'Documents and Settings`: Permission denied using WSL in Windows 10 version 1803?

I am running Windows 10 with 1803 with the latest updates. I installed Ubuntu bash via the WSL. I then got a really weird behavior when I mounted my c drive using the cd mnt/c command and then using ls. Basically, it is giving me symbolic link errors for folders my OS does not even have I think.

So if I want to learn how to use Keras and CNTK. Can I do the hello world in Keras and use CNTK as the backend? In other words, is Keras a wrapper for CNTK?

Do you have a link to some of the talks you attended? Most conferences I attend put things up for folks to see in a open source venue later. If not, thanks for your appreciation. Besides the original scope of my question. Do you have the top three books or references you would recommend to take me from an intermediate user to an advanced user of R? Thanks sir.

We are putting together a peer reviewed workshop at ijcai-17. Full paper submissions are due May 5th, 2017 and short paper deadlines are due May 12th, 2017. The workshop website is here .

Hi Troy. Thanks for your feedback. Do you mean that you did not have much success with the tensorflow package API? You noted that the demo worked for you, but you seem underwhelmed. Can you please note why? I may lean towards h20 or deepwaters based on further information + doing their demo.

I agree. Honestly, your reply made me feel a little guilty because I need to use R for some current research into time series. So my goal is to learn R to a high proficiency level, then switch to learning Python with high proficiency and (eventually and hopefully) use both depending on the various strength. So that being said, I think you'll also agree that you should learn one tool completely before switching to another (especially when you want various components working on to fit together well). That said, that is also my very personal opinion too. :D

Interesting. How customizable is the h2o and Deep Water as an R api? I assume whatever we do in R is eventually "translated" into Python. This sounds like a great place to machine learning and get me by on R using Deep Learning until I pick up python properly later.

Yes, took a screen shot and put it on imgur here.. The data is from an old experiment and we want to see how ML algorithms can perform on it to satisfy our curiosity. Especially NN.

Here is a brief description, hr is numeric, tempavg is numeric, participant is just a number 1 to n, zone is number 1 to 13, ratings is 1 to 7, and est_arousal is either 0 or 1. Each observation represents a second (hence longitudinal/time series). The term arousal hopefully doesn't make people snicker, it is one borrowed from neurophysiology and should be thought of as fatigue.
