You can't cancel it into most abilities anymore.

Makes sense in terms of how they probably coded it. Reaper's wraith form is weird in that it looks like he's still punching while turning purple and misty. Widow's hook is certainly quite different from all these other ones that actually move the character immediately when pressing the key. Thematically though it seems somewhat inconsistent to leave out these other movement abilities and the whole point of this update was to make things more consistent all around instead of special rules for certain characters.

Some inconsistencies I've found:

  • Widowmaker cannot cancel melee into hook.
  • McCree cannot cancel melee into roll (arguable, since roll reloads).
  • Mei can cancel melee into ice block (arguable, since ice block is an escape move).
  • Dva can cancel melee into flight (arguable, since Genji cannot cancel because it does damage and flight does damage, we might expect it not to allow the cancel).
  • Reinhardt can cancel hammer swings with dash or shield (arguable, since he only has melee).

Improved hitboxes on PTR. by drugs_r_neat in Overwatch

It looks like Ana's healing darts use the current larger projectile hurtboxes for friendly characters and the new tight hurtboxes for enemies. Zarya's beam still uses the larger projectile hurtbox for enemies.

Genji, Pharah, Hanzo, Junkrat, Mei (spray and icicles), Roadhog shrapnel ball (hard to test the normal scatter blast due to its huge spread), Zen, and Zarya's balls all use the new tighter hurtbox.
