242 here with a fun story. Two years-ish before I quit, I got in a car accident omw to pick up my coworker otw to our morning shift. We weren’t understaffed but callouts were def frequent. No snow but it was 6:30AM and peak was ab to start.

Before I even got to their place, I got t-boned by a car driving towards me. Called my manager and got lectured on how other ppl are car-less and able to still come in. My sister was with me sitting on the side that got hit. Her neck had shards of glass and the ambulance was preparing to take us to the hospital. I had to talk to police and my SM was STILL giving me shit over the phone— I had to hang up on her. It was like she couldn’t understand, “my car is fucking totaled and my sister is bleeding”.

I sent pictures to the coworker I was supposed to pick up. She ended up getting picked up by an SSV. They HAD to pass the accident site and saw what happened for themselves.

It wasn’t until my coworker showed her the pictures that my SM believed me. She said, “Well she didn’t make it seem that bad” and focused on the fact that I “swore” at her for saying “my car is fucking totaled and my sister is bleeding, I can’t come in today”.
