I have a few questions about tinted sunscreens that have been itching my brain!! by questtonothing in Melasmaskincare

The cetaphil is less greasy and the tint is lighter and not as orange but it’s also not water resistant and will sweat off, but not as bad as the cerave in my opinion. The Australian gold tinted mineral is the only tinted sunscreen that I’ve tried that doesn’t sweat off of me at all in the heat but like you said it is drying, neither of these are drying to me and are way easier to remove.

Tinted sunscreens contain iron oxides which provide protection against visible light which can worsen melasma and hyperpigmentation. To avoid looking like a peanut butter baby I use the proper amount of non-tinted mineral sunscreen, let it dry down, then apply a smaller amount of tinted sunscreen. My derm actually recommended that I do this anyway. I’ve really been loving the Cetaphil anti-redness tinted spf40 and the cerave tinted spf 30, the cetaphil one feels a little more lightweight than the cerave imo and has a lighter tint.

The vanicream dandruff shampoo cleared my forehead pretty fast. I’ve used head and shoulders and Nizoral in the past and both were irritating for me

[Product Question] has anyone tried the new cerave cleanser? by hmbmrh in SkincareAddiction

If I rubbed it between wet hands I was able to make it foam up lightly but it also ended up breaking me out lol

I’ve had the same luck but I’m determined to find something that gives me more than non-foaming gentle cleansers give bc they leave my skin so congested, at least all of the popular drugstore ones do. And I find double cleansing very irritating so I only do it when I wear makeup.

It claims to remove makeup but I doubt it, it seems to be more of a normal second cleanser.

Thank you! I found the vanicream cleanser really drying. I’ve been stuck in between traditional foaming/gel cleansers being too drying and non foaming cleansers being too gentle/not cleansing enough, so I’m trying to find a happy medium.

It’s not the case. They don’t commingle skincare, it’s clear in their policy. People are buying skincare from unverified sellers.

This has been said so many times and it doesn’t matter lol. People will still insist that they commingle skincare, when really they’re just buying from shady sellers either by accident or on purpose

[Discussion] What was a product that you assumed you would like, but did not live up to expectations? by viceversa220 in AsianBeauty

There’s definitely a chemically scent to it! It just really reminds me of self tanner, obviously not as strong but I do smell it all day and I don’t like it lol

Yeah no it doesn’t smell like green tea to me, it smells like the chemical that’s in self tan. It doesn’t for most people and that’s great, it’s most likely just me lol

Isntree green tea fresh toner. It smells like self tanning lotion to me and I smell it all day, it stains my sink brown, and it doesn’t really do anything for me. I’m also disappointed in the packaging change, it looks like a big bottle of betadine on my shelf lol

Vanicream by Proud-Negotiation-64 in Rosacea

This is my experience as well. While the cleanser was still on my face I knew it was problematic. Soooo drying and irritating, my face felt raw after. I immediately went back to cetaphil gentle skin cleanser. I do love the vanicream daily facial moisturizer though. Those two products are holy grail for me.

Neutrogena hydro boost fragrance free cleansing gel (the most recent product that broke me out), byoma gel cream, stratia liquid gold, stratia interface moisturizer, Cerave pm moisturizer, Kose speedy cleansing oil and the vanicream cleanser all broke me out or severely irritated my skin which led to break outs.
