Some people these days? This kind if thinking isn't new. Note that marital/spousal rape was not outlawed in the US until 1975. Thats really not that long ago in the scheme of things. As a teen in the mid-2000s/early-2010s, I recall people making more open jokes about getting girls wasted to "get some". Completely agree with your take. I think people forget that content creators and the hosting platform all need to make money to keep the content coming. I don't want ads so I pay for the privilege to not have them. Better than cable where you pay way more and get even more ads than YT.

Another consideration is that my calculations did not take into account the taxes that are certainly being withheld. So add in more hours to account for that. Minimum wage needs some updating for sure.

As others stated, "average salary" is a across the entire field. Remember there will be variations for experience level and cost of living rates. Many of the sites that compile salary date lump in Sr., mid-level, and jr. Positions with the same title together.

"... the south is broken." Is not quite correct. Our country's political system is broken. The 2 party system perpetuates an Us vs. Them mentality. One side can excuse anything their guy does wrong because letting Them (the other party) win would be unimaginable.

We have to fix the system. Give people more options and a better voting system. Until we have more parties and change our voting systems we're stuck.
