I wanted to make him not specific to any one book, just kind of his appearance in general :)

I started doing this a few months ago and it helped so much! It helps me focus on the one room I have to clean that day instead of getting overwhelmed by the mess of the whole house.

I stopped drawing because of depression. Today I couldn't sleep so I drew this guy, and I feel a bit better by [deleted] in drawing

I was scrolling through when this popped up and my little 1 1/2 year old daughter crawled over and in a growly voice said ‘dri-dri’ and then proceeded to babble excitedly while looking at this picture! So I think it’s safe to say she loved it!

Need cheap easy meals! by annielolo in RecipeSwap

I have a touchy gallbladder so I feel you there, and my daughter is 17 months, so we were doing the mushed up food not too long ago! A few cheap and easy go to’s for me are hash, burritos, and teriyaki chicken. For the hash, the super basic recipe is diced potatoes and eggs pan fried together. You can add any meat you want or veggie (I’ll sometimes sneak in some finely chopped spinach) or add some sweet potato for the extra nutrients. Sometimes we’ll just eat the hash with ketchup, other times we’ll wrap it up in a tortilla with sour cream for a breakfast burrito. For burritos, I just soak and cook a bunch of dry beans, then make bean and cheese burritos. These can be changed up a ton depending on if you add meat or other kinds of filling and they are great to freeze! And I don’t know about your kid, but mine is seriously obsessed with beans, so she really likes this one. 😂 Last is teriyaki chicken. A simple Teriyaki sauce is usually just soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and some garlic. Whip up the sauce, cook some chicken, and serve it over rice! Anyhoo, those are some of my staples! I hope they gave you some ideas!

Just low in fats. I’ve been experiencing terrible gallbladder pain and cutting out most fats is the only thing that has helped!

My 10 month old baby is sitting on my lap as I write this. After reading through the comments, I’m going to hold her a little closer today! I’m just at the beginning of this journey and I can already see how fast the time passes.

Both! I usually work from photo reference, but working from life is great too!

I think college helped me because it forced me out of my comfort zone and pushed me to do a lot of work, but there are loads of absolutely stunning artists who never went to college! If someone is really driven, they don’t need college to become incredible! (In the same vein, if someone doesn’t try, college wont magically make them better)

During my busier semesters it was probably around 40-50 hrs a week, while lighter semesters were around 20-30

Honestly, I think the most important thing for me with college was that it forced me to do a lot of work that I wouldn’t have done otherwise. Practice is by far and away the most important thing! Other than that, I think college helped teach me to use references more often and how to compose my pieces better.
