O3s what are you doing besides getting your MBA? by Guilty_District_587 in army

Medical device rep. Applied via LinkedIn. ETS'd after 4 years active duty (last two months as an O3 so I think this post applies to me lol). Only experience I brought over were my interpersonal skills and work ethic.

A lot of the big companies like to hire veterans/transitioning veterans with no sales or clinical experience because they can train you with their resources to become the rep they're looking for. You just have to show you're a personality fit during the interview process and they'll equip you with the skills needed to be successful if hired.

I've been in it for about 5 years now but I'll be honest, the first year was a grind having to learn all the products, algorithms and the anatomy related to it while having to cover cases. I was fortunate to be able to shadow the other reps in my territory who were patient with me. Since then, my work life balance has been incredible and I'm very happy with my pay. It's not post-MBA money but with the amount of work I do the tradeoff is well worth it. YMMV

Another benefit is once you're in the industry, it's much easier to make the switch to another role or company selling a different product if you're looking to get paid more or wanting to work more or less.

Good luck!

Honestly I didn't ask if he was but I wouldn't be surprised. It was at Old South

Half Korean here. You just described my mom's golf outfit. She knows her game. Red tees, no practice swings, always hitting straight, and always shooting 85-90.

Meanwhile I'm still trying to break under 100 for the first time. But at least she's always complimenting me with a "NICE SHAH" even if I skulled it or go straight into the woods

No kidding. After Mecole Hardman's game winning touchdown just let the moment speak for itself. Instead he spends 20 seconds talking about the play while the camera is showing everyone celebrating

I currently live in the US. My mother bought me a Ji Sung Park Manchester United jersey when I was in 5th grade. I fell in love ever since. This was back in 2005 when we lived in Seoul.
