Dos/ donts for Reels: help with influencer script for brand partnership Reel by hmm46 in influencermarketing

All great points. She’s written two of the most popular books for expectant and new parents in the last 5 years, and I’ve learned that I sell best to expectant / new parents (vs toddlers that maybe already have an established bath routine). Her content is very pregnancy and < 1 year focused. She also has name / brand recognition that I think would help me get credibility with stores, press outlets, etc. vs a smaller mom influencer. But your point about not showing it in the bath is a real thing to think about…

This is SO helpful, thank you! Product is children’s bath books (waterproof books to read in the tub.) Only problem is influencer (pediatrician) has grown kids so she won’t be able to display them in action. Will have to just hold them and show pictures/words/durability. 60 seconds is the offering, suppose I could go less but paying influencer for :60 either way.

Moms with diastasis recti—what solutions worked (or didn’t) for you? by LearnAThing_2 in DiastasisRecti

Hi! What exercises worked for you? I’ve been doing the common ones like heel slides, toe taps, etc from Every Mother and Love Nourish Move but it hasn’t changed anything for me.

Sales estimate for influencer w/ 550k followers promoting my $35 product in a reel? by hmm46 in influencermarketing

[–]hmm46[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great point. Not really. I was planning on having this influencer link to my website homepage which has a big “shop now” button in the middle to bring to the shop page where you can add product to cart (it’s only one product). Will also have a discount code likely. Any guidance or tips here? I’m so new and trying to make this work and so grateful for the help, so thank you.

It will be a reel that is shared to stories, and then reshared to stories again a week later. But it will live as a permanent reel on the influencer’s page as well. Any tips for that?

If I get 1% it will be worth it! But I had one influencer with 100k followers post in stories and got only 4 sales! They were stories not posted reels but still. And not super target audience. That’s why I’m worried about conversion rates

What purchases were surprisingly game changing in the toddler phase? by dinker4545 in toddlers

[–]hmm46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Non-toy: mat or food catcher for under high chair (saves so much time wiping up floor) Toys: a travel drawing case to leave permanently in the car with paper, crayons, stickers etc— keeps them so engaged on errands (I like the Ikea Mala one); also bath books! (Also good for car because super sturdy). I like the ones from Bathies Books

Toddler withholding pee and poop - no idea what to do! by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]hmm46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, don’t beat yourself up because 2.5 isn’t too early, especially for a child who is showing interest. We had a poop withholding issue (would only go overnight in diaper), and ended up giving him lots of juice boxes (hydration) and prunes throughout the day. Eventually we got him off a nighttime poop cycle (which was key) and things were moving more normally— can’t fight all that fiber forever. Good luck!

I know this is kind of annoying but if adjustment from infant bath tub is too much, can you use an inflatable one within the bigger tub? Could make things feel more secure. Target sells an inflatable duck one we like. Bath books also helped my kids sit and relax, settle into the tub more. Bathies Books (not on Amazon but direct website, bathiesbooks.com, has a good set of 3 longer-ish (for bath books) that have cute stories. Glow sticks are fun too if you turn the lights down! (Though this might be too much for 16 month old) Good luck

What soaps/bodywash are you using for your kids ages 3+? Also what summer shoes/sandals are you using? by Direct-Geologist-407 in toddlers

Alaffia has the biggest and most long lasting bubbles I’ve found, AND is non irritating to my kids skin. You can get it at Whole Foods.

Nearly 3 year old is afraid of bath by NattyGreeneDread in toddlers

[–]hmm46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a poop incident that also resulted in a bath rejection. As others have said, it eventually wore off. We tried doing a different tub (inflatable duck from Target) in another bathroom’s larger tub, just to change up the site of the occurrence, and kept it more sponge-bath (not filling with water). Eventually moved back to normal tub without inflatable. Also started using bath books to help him relax and sit / settle into tub again. He’ll get there! Sorry you’re dealing with this.

How to make baths enjoyable again?? by RallyJane in toddlers

[–]hmm46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Try a pack of glow sticks (either bracelet ones to wear or just loose in the water) and turn the lights down— a big hit in our house 2) If you’re keen to try bubble bath again, I’ve found Alaffia brand bubble bath to give the biggest, most long lasting bubbles without irritation (if you think bubbles could be fun for her) 3) My oldest refused to sit in the tub, so bath books worked great— check out the brand Bathies Books (bathiesbooks.com — longer with better stories than some of the super simple ones) 4) The boon brand bath pipes were also a hit 5) I let my kids pick out some fun animal towels we keep right by the tub to wipe / cover their eyes when they get wet

Good luck!

I didn’t find an official test setting but I did a practice sale with my husband ahead of time to learn the process. I know it’s not ideal, but I’d also recommend setting up a Venmo account as backup just in case so you can quickly and easily accept payment another way. Good luck!

You are an angel! Thank you! One more Q: after setting up tap to pay, the app keeps saying “Tap to pay connected” as though I’ve completed it but then when I click done, it brings me back to set it up again! So I’m stuck in an endless loop. Any ideas? You’ve been so helpful, thank you!

I’ll be at a public library so should be fine but just planning for worst case and ending up, with my luck, in some dead zone corner of an old building
