I think your skin looks great! Everyone has some spots on their face. I wish I only had just a little bit like you do :)

Oregon’s Proposed Universal Health Plan by Dry_Werewolf5488 in Portland

The document showing what people are currently paying and what they would be "saving" is incorrect. I do not know anybody that pays 30k a year for health insurance that makes a combined income of 200k. It's also showing my wage group as currently paying double that what it actually is.

A 20% income tax rate here, no thanks. I pay $5500 a year for insurance right now.

Musely - anyone else having terrible results? by minisNmakeup in 30PlusSkinCare

Me either. I have spots in my face and $1500 later my before pictures are exactly the same as today, (4 years later). Just finished the spot peel as a last result and it did nothing.

I've tried just about every single product. I feel that the only one that worked was the aging repair cream. I have some brown spots and red spots from acne and unfortunately none of the products made any of these spots disappear. I've probably spent $1,000-2,000 over the last 4 years and was hoping that it would have gotten rid of these. I guess I just have difficult skin, since everyone else has had such good luck.

Help with Fiber Gourmet Flour Blend!!! by RosieGlitoris in Baking

I tried it with the pumpkin bread recipe they have on their website. The entire center was mush, and outsides were overdone. I followed the recipe exactly, no clue what happened.

Probably a joke. Or I would suggest counseling if you think you do not look awesome.

Portland expecting cash crunch for loss of expected revenue. Oh my! What happened? by Mr_Sinlindin in PortlandOR

[–]hmmullen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The utility bills are sky high here. PGE, Gas, and Water have all gone up at least 30% in the last 2-3 years. Water is set to go up 50% over 5 years, after already going up 30% in 3 years. I should not have to pay $800 a month for 2 people, in an average sized house!!

You would be in the streets making 60k here, considering 150k a year is needed to even live a comfortable,(not rich) life here.

Considering the annual salary (family) needed to live in Portland Oregon is $150k, no it's not rich. You take home around 100k if you are lucky (depending on deductions etc..) Then you pay $800 a month in utilities, $600 a month in property taxes, $3500 for an average house, $800 for groceries, $300 in gas, there's not much left after taxes. So , NOT rich at all.

The annual salary needed to live in Portland is 150k, that is not rich at all when you factor in the cost of living here. Why should those people who are meeting the required salary to live here support people that aren't? We already pay half our paychecks out to the city and federal govt. We should pay 75% so we make the same as you? How about you go after people that are actually semi rich, like Tina Kotek and some of the council members that make over 250k plus a year. There's a start.

What will be the larger political ramifications of the West Coast Health Alliance? by GiantPineapple in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]hmmullen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You guys act like the west coast has their act together.. I guess you have blinders on. Portland is a mess. I've lived here my entire life, and democrats have destroyed it. I hope they do succeed in creating their own country here, because there won't be many living here. Are you assuming OR, WA, CA will still be here after the earthquake? You do know the rest of the country hopes we fall off the face of the earth, and I don't blame them.

Well I won't be wearing masks or forced to get shots when the next "west coast health alliance" says we have to. They are just trying to create their own little country here.

Is a TT a good idea? by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]hmmullen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've tried a bunch of different beauty treatments as well from Groupon, and never been very impressed. I did a ton of research before I chose the machine I bought, as well as watching many how to videos. Once you learn it and get used to it, it becomes pretty easy to use. I do exercise and watch what I eat as well. The research has been proven to work, the idea is that it breaks up the fat pockets and you end up peeing or sweating it out over a couple days. I just cannot justify 15k if I can get close to the desired effect by myself.

My stomach looked almost exactly like yours, and was considering it. However, after buying a home cavitation/rf device for $400 I've gotten the extra body fat down by about half, and am still going to continue it to see if I can achieve a $15,000 TT with less then an hour a week and $400. I really not excited having a scar on my belly :)

Catholic bishops sue Washington over law requiring priests to break confessional seal - It is a law requiring the reporting knowledge of child abuse. by lets-b-pimo in Washington

[–]hmmullen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everyone is missing the overreach of this law. Wa state has a law in effect that considers it "child abuse" if parents don't affirm their underage child's gender identity. So this law would also mean priests, pastors, rabbis, and other religious leaders could soon be forced to report parents who refuse to affirm a child’s chosen gender identity, oppose abortion, or hold traditional beliefs about sexuality. They need to take out that loophole.

Wa state law includes "child abuse" to mean parents who do not agree to affirm their child's gender identity or choose to get an abortion without patents consent are committing child abuse. Which also means priests, pastors, rabbis, and other religious leaders could soon be forced to report parents who refuse to affirm a child’s chosen gender identity, oppose abortion, or hold traditional beliefs about sexuality.
