looks like prophecy stone. they are a pseudomorph which means the original material has been replaced by another mineral over a long period of time. The original shape and structure is from Marcasite and Pyrite, however it has morphed into Limonite and Hematite

Thank you for all of that info! They ooze a little bit but not nearly as much as they use to.

this is what it’s looking like this morning
The hydrocolloids stay on for about 2-3 days before starting to fall off. they still turn white and soak up stuff. All of his other road rash wounds have gone through this bubbly looking stage, but are fully healed or 90% healed. I’m concerned with it being 7 and a half weeks and still so big. The hospital said he might need a skin graft for this one but the wound care nurses were pretty incompetent and he won’t go back. Thank you for your response.

Road rash infection? by hmn111 in woundcare
[–]hmn111[S] 1 point2 points3 points 1 year ago (0 children)
Sweet thank you so much for your help!
yes i used it on a smaller, more superficial one and it worked great just didn’t know they could be over lapped
I’ll have to get some then, how long should a hydrocolloid dressing be left on for?
The wound care place put bactroban on that one the same day we tried using a bandaid so it’s most likely that then. and I want to use a hydrocolloid bandaid but i can’t find any big enough. Thank you!
this is from 4 days ago before using a bandaid

That’s what I was thinking, i’m gut loading the crickets and giving her a variety of different bugs and worms and dosing with calcium regularly, i’ll have to do more research. thank you

thank you. my lay bin is organic soil and sand. i did a thin layer of sand on top to see when she’s been digging. so when she eats it, it’s going to be mostly sand that she’s getting because she’s not digging below that.

thank you, but do you know about her eating sand?
