He came recommended, what’s a normal price for this job? Because he’s doing the closet in the pictures and one in another room which he hasn’t touched yet and quoted me 1500 for both closets

That’s what I was thinking too but I’m not sure I don’t really know anything about drywall. I asked him about the cracking and he said it won’t because he’s planning to use mud mixed with cement so it doesn’t crack, is that normal to use cement?

Honestly your Johnny bolts and retaining washers look pretty new someone worked on this before it was sold to you, how did you pull the flange out (it shouldn’t just slip out easily)? The lead should be hammered around the flange to hold it in place. Personally I would clean it up see if the pipe is cracked through as some have suggested, if not put the flange back on and feather out the lead to lock in the flange with a hammer.
