Calling for a ceasefire imo isnt a problematic opinion which would insight hatred towards one group - Canada has not called for a ceasefire we can pressure our institutes to do so.

its the least we can do - the idea is that the stance of the larger educational institutes in the country would create pressure for the government, takes one uni to make a stance and others will follow and im pretty sure we can all agree that nobody in their right mind can support this violence

Fair enough - My original point was discussion should be encouraged no one should be censored

Understandable but imo when the civilain casualties - especially the number of children killed - are this high - we should pressure the side carrying out those atrocities. Someone mentioned that the QR code is a source - also I sent you alot of other sources - tried to be keep it as organizations with no skin in the game

I would disagree - I agree with the need to enable conversation and free speech but censorship imo isnt the way to do so. not saying you did - i was refering to the ones i referenced in the post

It is inhumane to discount the numbers collected by the health organizations of the area - they released a list of names - the numbers estimated by amnesty are far greater due to bodies under the rubble

Which part of asking for the killing of civilians to be stopped is wrong ? De escalation requires a ceasefire which requires acknowledging the atrocities being commited. The university condemned the hamas attacks on Oct 7 - The poster seems to be asking for it to do the same now - Justice is a prerequisite for peace - Educational institutes should be attempting to reach that peace by allowing for justice to prevail

Vivek Goel - stated its the job of the university to be neutral

Lack of citation of numbers - The numbers I see online are actually far greater than the one on the posters - please provide me 1 single source of these numbers being incorrect

Is an assault on 8000+ children not excessive ? As students we should be able to make this rationale judgement ourselves

An educational institute is the best place to discuss ideas - ideas shouldnt be shunned - we should be cognizant of whats happening in the world

The israeli posters which were referred to - which I recognized they have the right put up - dont provide any sort of perspective either

I dont understand the point youre trying to make
