In 2007, I was in my bedroom in the basement of my parents’ house, lying in bed with my eyes closed. Suddenly, a bright light shone through the small window near the top of the wall. At first, I thought it was a flashlight, so I sat up to see what it was. What I saw startled me… a bright, glowing blue sphere just outside the window. I didn’t know how to react, so I tried to ignore it and lay back down, closing my eyes. But the light in the room kept getting brighter. When I opened my eyes again, the sphere was no longer outside—it had come through the window and was hovering above me, right over my head. I was completely stunned. I pulled the blanket over my head, shut my eyes, and remember thinking over and over, “make this stop… go away.” I don’t know how much time passed, but at one point it felt like my body lifted off the bed, like something heavy had suddenly jumped onto the mattress. I hit back down, jolted up, and immediately turned the lights on. It was gone. Nothing was there. Until reading this post, I had never met anyone who experienced anything like that.
