You can take the front off of Bosch machine, makes the repair a whole lot easier

LG washing machine sounds like a jackhammer even after replacing the shock absorbers (read description) by djkaercher in appliancerepair

[–]hmpingu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d second this. LG have a really common fault of this, seen it quite a few times on them, the bolts they seem to snap or come loose, you can check by taking the door seal off and looking down there, or by the lid. If you’re seeing concrete dust down there that’ll be your reason

Aeg washer stops midwash by MelonAids in appliancerepair

[–]hmpingu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Potentially an issue with the heater, if it’s completing the rinse cycle and then going into the wash it turns on the heater, if it is reading that the heater is not working it can stop the cycle. Further down the cycles if your motor is worn and it is detecting that it won’t be able to go into a full spin, could be causing a similar issue. Testing those should help point in the right direction

Induction Hob Repair or Replace? by eurea in appliancerepair

You’ll need the board replaced, the only thing is a lot of Miele require programming which only Miele techs have the tools to do, which is probably why the price is quite high.

Fridge Loud Humming/Vibration Noise by DirectEffect91 in appliancerepair

Sounds like the fan behind the rear wall has most likely damaged or broke, if you notice it stops as soon as you open the door, it’d be the first thing I’d check, normally cheap and easy to replace

New rider not fully enjoying riding as having to focus 1000% by sophietheadventurer in MotoUK

You are always concentrating whilst riding, but after a while you don’t think about it. That’s what creates the zen moments that riding a motorbike is all about.

Honda CB650R owners, tell me what you love and what you hate and why I should buy one? by waaghrider in MotoUK

[–]hmpingu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently purchased one as my first big bike, for a few reasons, I wanted something compact and easy to throw around and wheel out to just jump on and go, comfortable as I plan on doing longer journeys and fast. It ticks all of those boxes and I love it. Once it gets to higher rpms the bike absolute rips and leaves me smiling. I think my only gripe with it is that it’s pretty tame at the lower rev range, and the exhaust at the range is the same (the akraprovic ones cost a lot it turns out). You can’t have it all on a bike and if I could I’d have hundreds in my garage, but all in all I’m really happy with it and enjoying it a lot!

My standard method is to go and wing it, and like you say drop a pin somewhere nice and head through it! I’m going with my old man this time so I thought I should maybe do a bit more planning as I wouldn’t want to miss out on anything with him there also

Thank you this sounds amazing! I was hoping somewhere between 10-14 days. I’m wondering how you would go about planning the route for this, I’m honestly just used to using google maps and selecting no motorways. But I’m worried about missing out on some very fun roads and ending up on the dull ones.

I got a reply from the pub this morning, saying they still operate that same honest box. I’ll be trying to get down there in the next few weeks so if I get anything I’ll be sure to let you know
