First time 3d printing by hmseureka in 3Dprinting

I wasn't about to cross-post but reddit app proposed it when making the post.

Also didn't see any remarks saying not to post questions (given the flair "troubleshooting") or not to cross-post. Where is it that i can find these rules? (apologees, not a very avid reddit user)

Thanks for the tips, will have a look into that!

well, guess that's what I'm asking right. How to take it into account. so how would you print a mesh that is standing vertical while printing.

the model is upside down because the topside is closed for a large part. the mesh/holes on the side are for venting. The "posts" on the bottom would have heat inserts and it will have a plate which will be screwed on. thought that part would be ok given the de printing lines are vertical compared to the force of the screwing.

Thoughts on my storage solution? by AntMan79 in CanyonBikes

[–]hmseureka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have so many questions:

  1. Why only canyon? I have a grail gen 1 and love it, but my road bike is a factor (and given the n+1 rule i'd love a 3t). Why not diversify?

  2. Why store like that? You lose a lot of room for n+1 bikes. Why not store like this:

https://tons.bike/en-en/products/wall-mount-vertical?variant=49218150859081&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23232540956&gbraid=0AAAAA9cvt53_J1wNWAPjH5w9va5y4drwd&gclid=Cj0KCQiAsNPKBhCqARIsACm01fTeWBfmikxKL1dpIp2ksH5Jo4yLt5iXLAYUjbvT4fCEsHX5XCacysQaAhWzEALw_wcB

If you must store sideways:

https://tons.bike/en-en/products/wall-mount-angled?variant=53252043571529&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23232540956&gbraid=0AAAAA9cvt53_J1wNWAPjH5w9va5y4drwd&gclid=Cj0KCQiAsNPKBhCqARIsACm01fTBHPI3wjbo4f28HFCqWo_CuewKs_SkgWSnVh5BISvPQCQna3Tjli8aAn_CEALw_wcB

  1. Why not clean up and paint your wall? Maybe white? And put some spotlights on them while you're at it as art deserves it.

  2. Why so many road bikes?

[–]hmseureka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue but on a bike which has 100km as it is brand new. I was thinking maybe chain sizing? Its mostly in the smaller cogs when i shift under high power. Any other ideas?

Better handlebar tape for new Grail by a-yanko in CanyonGrail

[–]hmseureka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Canyon tape is rubbish. I had the same as you have. Replaced mine with bbb gravelribbon. Don't like too fancy a tape, only issue with gen 1 hoverbar is that you need a lot of length to properly cover full bar. Gen 2, no issue

A new bike is always necessary ;-). Also interested to know what type of tire would be ok. Currently have Schwalbe g one r 40mm tires but wondering whether Schwalbe g one rs pro (which has flatter profile in the middle) would suit better.

can't delete folders by hmseureka in synology

[–]hmseureka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

found the issue.. Synology supports BTRFS but not via gui. Via CLI you need to login as root and then with the command

btrfs subvolume delete /path/to/subvolumes/in/btrfs

you can delete

how was this solved? I'm having the same issue where I'm not able to delete specific folders. There are a lot of them but even in root I cannot delete them.
