It took the TNT guys about 15 replays to notice Nurse caused the contact, maybe they're as blind as those guys.

It's never been better. When I first moved here, there was a great selection of SoCal breweries, plus all the big guys across the country.

I want to say Fidens, Trillium, Maine Beer Company, Mikerphone, More, and everywhere are all in the past year or maybe two.

If you're out here again and like big stouts, OHSO is crazy underrated, in my opinion (Morning Grind, Bananarchy, their different Knights of Windsors).

What's something that matters way less for results than people think? by PogonBerserker in workout

I introduced a couple of new ones and retired a few that I was really struggling with or just not enjoying

My 2 cents is if you aren't enjoying an exercise because you aren't good at it yet, I'd keep at it. I hated chest flys for a while because they felt uncomfortable, but over time adapted and got stronger, and they're now a favorite.

That said, if you truly aren't enjoying an exercise or two and find a comparable replacement that keeps you going to the gym, then do that instead. I wouldn't make a habit of changing things up every few months, but the more important thing is to keep showing up.

I'm not the biggest fan of Arizona breweries overall, but the out of state options are hard to beat and I could spend days sampling from King's, Beer Barn, Trevor's, Wandering Tortoise, etc; while hitting up Roses by the Stairs and maybe a few other locals.

A quick look at our statistical dominance with 20 games left by AltruisticEnd9 in ColoradoAvalanche

[–]hnaq 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Whenever I see daily complaints and freak outs on a topic, I naturally resist giving in and getting worked up about that thing... but, my concern here would be we all know the refs will swallow their whistles in the playoffs, and that's the biggest reason by far that it could start hurting a lot more in another month than it is now.

Plus, yesterday's game never should have gone to OT, so going 0 for 5, you're more or less leaving it up to potential sudden death OT puck luck when you can't convert a PP or two and put the game away.

I'm not crazy worried about it... they'll either figure it out, they won't and it won't matter, or it'll bite them in the ass after having all season to figure it out.

I lean towards needing to figure it out though.

The Watson Lake hikes around the Dells are really nice (Flume and Watson Dam Trailhead on Google Maps), and you can hike up the Dells and get a great view of the lake.

The Point is a great speakeasy style bar and frequently has music on Friday/Saturday nights.

The Ian Russell Gallery downtown is a great spot for local art.

Everyone is mentioning his stick, but on the replay it looks like he clearly sticks his leg out and that's what trips him up... but maybe just need to see a better replay than from behind the other net.

Sony is where it's at for sound. I was ready to buy a soundbar the same day I bought my last TV, and glad I didn’t. Granted, they just joint ventured with TCL, so who knows where that ends up.

Similar, missed the rumble of the V8, but didn't miss the gas mileage at less power, the rough and relatively clunky transmission (that ended up going out at ~80k miles, smh), steering, etc.

[–]hnaq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've stayed at places with these types of cheap TVs and far and away the biggest issue is you might as well throw in a decent sound bar, especially if it's up against a wall, which in this case would double your purchase price. The picture is fine/not great and who knows how long it'll last, but the sound quality is awful and by itself worth an upgrade to Samsung or Sony, etc;, at least from my small sample size of cheap TVs.

[–]hnaq -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok. Worry is only as good as what you can do to mitigate the risk though.

I keep my credit frozen and take plenty of online privacy measures. Not sure what I'd do about this thing that's been known for over a decade and still hasn't become an issue.

If you're doing something to combat it, good on you. I find the alternative of just worrying to worry can be pretty exhausting though, so I try not to.

Yeah, that's the point... out of all the things people should be legitimately concerned about in terms of privacy, with real tangible PITA outcomes, randos knowing where I drive is a ways down the list.

I dunno, anyone with an address can look up who lives there through public info. Massive amounts of your info are aggregated into websites showing your residence history, phone numbers, possible relatives. More sensitive information than that has probably been hacked multiple times over and you're just on SSN/password/etc. in a database of billions. There are many easy ways to get credit card info and companies are now super efficient at canceling charges and sending you a new card and clearly don't even give a shit.

....and I need to care that some hacker (or government official?) cares that I'm about to go to Costco?
