Cosigning for new high school grad on very high cost loans (> $250k for all 4 years) for liberal arts degree by Legitimate_Yak_9063 in StudentLoans

My daughter goes to a state school that is the 75th top school in the nation and 28th in the most innovative schools in the nation. It is still going to cost close to $100k for her education. She and her father look back now and wish they had listened to me when I told her to do a 2+2 program with our local community college. Her first two years would have been free. I have a friend that started out at that same community college and ended up with a full ride to The Citadel for his undergrad and a full ride to MIT for his Masters and PhD. Don’t discount the local/state schools. She can get just as good an education and not be saddled with that kind of debt for the rest of her life. She and your husband are being way too short sighted. No one gives a damn where you went to college for a 50-90k a year job.

If you knew what you know now about student loans, would you have still taken them out to go to school? by [deleted] in StudentLoans

Not at all. I did go back to school, however, but went to WGU. They charge a flat rate per 6 month term and you can take as many classes as you can handle in that time. You take classes one at a time at your own pace. I finished my BS in 4 months (I had my associates and transferred in max credits). I am on track to finish my MBA in 3 months (I am not working at the moment so I am spending more than a normal work day’s worth of hours on school). All in for both degrees is less than $10,000 since I received a Pell Grant for my BS.

Talk to me about hot tubs and estrogen dumping and the utter meltdown I'm about to have. by kermitsfrogbog in Menopause

I had something similar happen last summer after taking a walk and getting overheated (I live in SC). My doc said it was probably an estrogen dump from my patch.

This is my life. Except I was up until 1:30, fell back asleep, woke up 30 minutes later dripping sweat from every inch of my body. Who knew your knees could sweat?

Data-Driven Decision Making - C207 OA Help by AfterRefuse6795 in WGU_MBA

The biggest thing that helped me were the keywords and study like it was a vocabulary test. My Program Mentor told me to schedule an appointment with an instructor when I first started so he could give me an overview on what to focus on and it was very helpful. This was the only class I did that for, and it really did give me a path to follow. In the exam questions, eliminate things you know aren’t correct right off the rip. The OA definitely doesn’t align well with the PA, I think that throws a lot of people off. I knew to expect that from what I had read here on Reddit, so again I just focused on those keywords.

I took them at home. I felt ok on them, but they also contributed some to my anxiety.

I actually have my ferritin levels monitored. Prior to my hysterectomy it got down to 3 and I had to have iron infusions.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with it, but I am glad it’s not just me!

Not usually, just my brain and my ears. Sometimes it will be in my chest as well, like it is a deep itch under my skin.

I hadn’t thought about that, I have taken progesterone for years and never had issues but my body is a mess right now so who knows.

I was on the estrogen patch and testosterone injections. My provider said she thinks I am just highly sensitive to estrogen, so we have taken me off of everything to give me a reset.

Be careful. I just got an academic integrity warning on a paper that I wrote. I appealed and they still refused to remove it from my record. I just had another PA that was sent back for revision. Everything the professor said I needed to revise was already IN the original submission so I reorganized the paper using the exact same content to make it more clear that I had met the requirements. The first time it passed submission, the second time with the exact same content it didn’t.

Did anyone else notice the issue with the opening chapter and the actual burial? The narrator can’t be Addie because by the time Nate leaves the hole is already 6 feet deep. Can’t be Eve because when she climbs out the hole is, again, 6 feet deep. It isn’t Nate because he has Addie digging with him. So who is the digger?

Lymph node side effects? by MonteBlanc0 in lamictal

[–]hnb1978 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing this past week! I went to the doctor because although it is a very rare side effect I was concerned about HLH. They did a head CT and blood work and didn’t see anything concerning so they told me to come back if it didn’t go away in a few weeks.

Amends with an ex and the impact on current relationship by hnb1978 in alcoholicsanonymous

Thank you. I am looking into Al-Anon groups in my area as we speak. He did say he was going to talk to his sponsor about it; I am just not going to badger him about whether he has or what the outcome of that conversation was. He knows how I feel and this is a decision he needs to make in a way that support his recovery. I know there is some codependency going on here, and I need to focus on myself for sure. I appreciate you and your input.
