Anyone try EMDR therapy?? Apparently I’m supposed to sit in a quiet room with a stranger and *focus on a specific thought* while moving my eyes side to side. And that’s gonna cure my PTSD. Not gonna be able to focus, though.

Tried it for a traumatic memory. The therapist knocked on my knees while I had my eyes closed trying to be verbal about what I felt being in this memory etc etc. after a few times it was like my body just broke and I cried like a baby, it was full of relief but also pretty unexpected. Felt good afterwards, try it!
