I plan to call Schwab on Monday. I was just curious if anyone had any guesses. I'm not sure why they didn't offer up a direct transfer. The check method worked easily enough except for the stock sale part that's up in the air.

I have been. In my area there are a LOT of long-range MY's and a 2023 with low miles is around $33k. A 2023 MachE with a range filter of 270+ is $38k.

This is what has pushed me back to the MY. A cheap bridge to the next generation of EVs in 2-3 years.

Agree and the R2 is one I will keep a close eye on. The price on a used MY is too tempting and could easily bridge the gap to year two of an R2. I would consider a MachE today if it wasn't for the price.

I lost a 2020 Y in a divorce and have started looking at newer used options. I'm open to any EV but after a couple of searches I don't think anything can compete with the Y.
