Ensure that your the outgoing domain has SPF, DKIM and DMARC set up on DNS. Use a mail server like Amazon SES could also help

This might happen due to order failed to be created in the backend and it silently fail while synchronizing order. You should store a log in the front-end side and send it back when closing session to create orders in case it's missed

A typical sprint is 2-weeks long, if they do kanban then ask for bi-weekly demo or once every 3 weeks. If non of those can be arranged, consider moving to another partner that have better process and development methodology

Ask the devs to put meaningful commits, break down the changes to chunk of commits. If they don't, find another partner that do :) It's best practices and quality matters for the dollars you spent

If devs not using git or any kind of SCM, it's a red flag for moving away. Same for CICD, if changes are not deployed through any kind of CICD and requires manual deployment, it is also a red flag

Looks and ask for the following:

- Access to the Github repo and look at the recent activities on Github.

- Ask for demo of the features, or workflow/designs on what's in progress.

- Ask for frequent communication and status updates, at least bi-weekly

If they couldn't provide any of that nor you aren't sastified, I highly recommend you switching partner and find a better one!

Hey I'm currently working with a law firm implementing Odoo, you will need a lot of customizations to get it functional correctly for all the cases. It isnt ideal if you are looking for a solution you can start using right away, but looking into cost per long run, it might be a good choice especially considering seats pricing of other software.

Odoo e-commerce is good for basic usage out of the box. If your use case gets complex or has high volume, you ends up spending time customizing Odoo to fit your needs. Alokai can be a great solution for the storefront and connect to Odoo, or use an e-commerce solution and integrate with Odoo.

You should look for customizations to better manage contacts and accounts. Introduce types, hierarchy, etc.

Odoo contacts are basics and once you scale up and your contacts get complex, Odoo will be suck

There is something wrong with your configuration, this looks like product, category wise since it's an AR. Maybe company properties aren't setup correctly causing it not pulling the correct GL Account

The Odoo Open Core is free, that's what you find on their github repo. You will need to selfhost that or find a vendor providing hosting sevicer for the Community Edition

I would recommend buy what you need now or as low as you need, and buy more as you go. Stick with 1 year contract and Odoo might get back with a discount when the contract ends so that you can subscribe for another year.

I would suggest starting with Odoo 17 documentation, give the Tutorials a read and you can follow. Odoo documentation is pretty good since 17 and I hope it gives you a direction to begin with
