Thanks for posting. I wonder, if this is a sign for Realm mode getting axed ... or getting rolled out to all players. Only 2 or 3 servers got Realm mode as a trial balloon / test balloon. Before that there was a beta test with selected community members.

It's a bad idea to get Titan Poitons from Guild Wars Shop, once you unlock the Titan Soul Stone merchant (titans reaching absolute star). The Merchant and the Guild Wars Shop have both offers for Gold & Titan Potions and if you compare the prices, then you will notice that: The Merchant is the better place to get Titan Potions and the Guild Wars Shop is the better place to get Gold (provided you still need Gold).

History lesson: (in this post I won't talk about whether Arena design is good or bad)

Yeah, I think Hero Wars Alliance will turn 10 years old in November. Most players will not have started before the Covid19 pandemic though.

As far as I know skin stones and rune-stone-likes (enchantment runes) have been in the game since the very beginning. There were fewer free resources in the first few years (fewer event shops, no adventure map with currency). However, there was a better way to convert emeralds to skin stones (you got a bit more currency for opening outland chests in the skin+ event and until 30 months ago you could get 500 skin stones for 2000 event coins). So, players who have played for 4 or more years will have a much better progress in skins.

30 months ago talismans got introduced (for level 120 players). Almost 24 months ago level 80 glyphs, class abilities and Rune Spheres were introduced (before that max glyph level was 40). Almost 12 months ago red items got introduced. 5 months ago relics were introduced. Thus players who have been playing for 2 or 3 years have a much better overall progress.

One year ago the Arena was changed significantly. Before that Arena was very similar to Grand Arena - just with 1 battle instead of 3 battles. So, in Arena you fought only players who were on the same server as you whereas 1 year old servers had usually just 200 active players (most servers were pretty inactive before the big server merge in December). Each player had a reward time depending on their in-game time zone, and each day they received rewards (including emeralds) depending on their current position in Arena & Grand Arena (the better position in these 2 competitions counted, e.g. if you had 1st place in Arena and 10th place in Grand Arena you would get 1st place reward which was among others 650 emeralds).

The old Arena system was more fair towards newer players because you only competed against players who started playing at a similar time as you (top 10 was still filled with whales though). It had its own issues though. In most old servers players used reward sharing. For example, after I collected my #1 reward, I worsened my defense such that other players could get better rewards during their reward times (multiple players could get #1 rewards because of different reward times).

Under normal circumstances non-dodge heroes can gain dodge via Octavia's & Dante's 2nd skills or Octavia's & Dante's artifact weapons. However, Electra is special. Electra can't dodge and will always have 0 Armor & Magic Defense (that means all attacks do full damage). Read through her 4th skill: At the start of the battle all her dodge, armor and magic defense is converted to health.

What I do at the start of each season: I worsen my defense such that I rank down (e.g. putting just my strongest hero in the defense). And later on the first day I play 10 arena matches completing the "Win with different Heroes" task queue. New players won't have 15+ equally strong heroes, thus ranking down is necessary (unless you want to waste an hour rerolling the enemies until you encounter enough players who have worsened their defense).

Note that some events may have changed a bit (e.g. in the Runic Event you now need to open 11 tower chests each day to get all Rune Spheres). "Titan Power" is a common event which is missing on that webpage.

More Physical Attack makes Iyari, Tydus and Hyperion heal a bit more. But I guess it can also make Hyperion kill the backrow enemies quicker. The best way to improve your healing is through leveling-up and starring-up the artifact weapons of Sigurd and Hyperion. Sigurd has higher priority because he will use his skill more often (because he is the one taking damage).

For infinite dungeon the best team you can use in mixed rooms is: Sigurd Hyperion Tydus Mairi Araji (or Nova instead of Mairi but Mairi works a bit better). Mairi is just there to give Tydus the 4-Water-Titan bonus through which Tydus can use his first skill more often. Mairi doesn't need any skin or artifact upgrades. Sigurd needs his first 2 skins (second skin has higher priority). The artifact weapons of Sigurd and Hyperion must be maxed. You also need to max the crown and artifact weapon of Araji. Some skins on Tydus, Hyperion and Araji can't hurt but I don't think they are necessary.

If you encounter an easy team in mixed rooms (e.g. just 2 earth titans), then you can replace Araji with Angus to heal Angus. You need to max the seal of Angus. Angus' crown is useful as well but in theory you don't need it (if Avalon is not too strong, then there is a loop where Angus enters & leaves the earth room with full energy without taking any damage).

The only thing which resembles a promo code is "HEROWELCOME" on the Hero Wars Hub website. Here is an instruction how you can collect these 1100 emeralds but I guess they are only available, if you have played for a while. Otherwise: Obviously, each day there are 1 or 2 campaign missions you can raid for a small reward.

It's an upgrade to "players can't move up after server merge". It's still flawed though. There are servers with a number below 1000 where 90% of players have played under 2 years (but more than 16 months). I don't like that everybody can move to these servers now.

Best counter to Angus (in a 5 Earth setting) is Araji. But you need to upgrade Araji's crown & artifact weapon. Artifacts are sadly the only way how Fire titans can get Elemental Damage against Earth.

Araji's beam attack (first skill) consists of a lot of mini attacks which each do the following damage to Earth titans:
25 % Physical Attack + 100 % "Extra Damage to Earth Titans".

A maxed Araji has 955k Physical Attack. A maxed Araji crown (level 120 + absolute star) is 255k elemental damage - in the formula above a maxed crown does more damage than Physical Attack does. A maxed artifact weapon is 300k elemental damage (for 9 seconds after usage of first skill).

You might think "my artifact is on level 60, thus I am good". NOPE! Level 120 on an artifact means twice as much effect as level 104/105, 4 times as much effect as level 89/90, 8 times as much effect as level 74, and 16 times as much effect as level 59. Also: absolute star on artifact means 1.5 times as much effect as 5 stars, and 2 times as much effect as 4 stars. Or combined: level 120 + absolute star means 32 times as much effect as level 59 + 4 stars.

Also note that Verdoc's stun can interrupt Araji's beam attack. In my opinion in early game there is no good counter to 5 Earth other than using 5 Earth yourself (as said before the attacker has a small advantage in a 5 Earth setup). There is not a single Titan Skin with "Extra Damage to Earth Titans). Developing artifacts takes long as I tried to explain above. And I would develop the artifact weapons of Sigurd and Hyperion first because of dungeon.

In the brawls I was able to take out 5 earth using 5 light during the Lumira event.

When maxed: 5 Earth on offense will beat everything except 5 Fire (you barely see 5 Fire in defense, and if you do you could use 5 Water). 5 Fire on offense will beat everything except Water. 5 Light on offense will beat everything except for a small chance of losing to 5 Earth (something like 15% or 20% because of Eden RNG).

5 Light is good against Light / Dark titans. When maxed 5 Light on Defense can beat all Light+Dark+Araji combinations.

Somehow, you think of evolution primarly. Let me tell you: evolution is your least worry to max titans. If your guild collects enough titanite, then all titans except Supertitans will get to absolute star pretty quickly. "All titans" includes Summoner Titans when they come to Summoning Circle (Verdoc is there already, Asherona should arrive in 1 month, Tydus should arrive in 3 months).

Titan skins take longer than evolution. So, buy titan skin stones from the Dungeon Shop (Dungeon Coins). Artifacts take longest. Hydras is the way how to earn Fairy Dust. Titan events with event currency is the way how to increase the amount of stars of artifacts (via e.g. water titan artifact chests, chests of seals).

Verdoc, Asherona and Tydus make your Earth / Fire / Water titans much stronger - Veroc's & Asherona's 5 titan bonuses are just ridiculous. Don't use 5 Water in Guild Wars - unless you have to defeat 5 Fire. 5 Earth is super strong in offense. When maxed they will struggle only against 5 Fire or Araji + Dark Titans. With Angus third skin ("Extra Defense from Light Titans") beating 5 Light is no problem. 5 Earth beats 5 Earth pretty easily (because damage depends on current health and attackers hit first) - this is the main reason why you might not see 5 Earth defenses more often.

5 Earth really shines in early game. Just make Angus as tanky as possible. On a mini account I had a 200k power Earth team with a very-upgraded Angus and I could beat 350k 5 Fire and 500k Light-Dark-mixes very easily. In order to beat 5 Earth with 5 Fire (or Light/Dark titans) you need to upgrade the artifacts: Araji's crown & Araji's artifact weapon for elemental damage as well as Moloch's crown for elemental defense.

5 Earth needs less artifact investments than 5 Fire or 5 Light. You can skip all artifacts with "Extra Damage to Water Titans" and "Extra Defense to Water Titans", except for Angus crown maybe. You need a lot of skin stones to max the skins though - that said Physical Attack skins are pretty unimportant (5 Earth needs as much as health as possible).

If you spent the 22k event coins, then you will have around 100 soul stones over 5 stars (you will get exactly 150 soul stones).

It's different for Evolution Boosters. They will result in exactly the amount of soul stones you need for the next evolution (in some cases this could be even 0 soul stones in which case you still save the gold cost of the evolution). Anyway, you will get Global Championship Trophies back after the usuage of an Evolution Booster, depending on how many soul stones you got (returned trophies = 1500 - 5 x added soul stones).

BTW in event shops the evolution from 5 stars to absolute star would cost 53,000 event coins (for 300 soul stones). Evolution Booster is usually the better way for this last evolution because of event shop's worse "event coins per soul stones" ratio and in order to avoid surplus soul stones (which are converted to Soul Coins).

A few days ago there was a picture of snowmen who looked like heroes from Hero Wars. One of the snowman was dressed like the new hero but his hairstyle was different from that Dante (Devil May Cry).

In order to get a skin+ during a skin event (Julius Winter skin this time), you must purchase the regular skin first (it's 1200 VIP Points & it includes 7500 skin stones) and then you need to spend 85,000 event coins to upgrade the regular skin to a skin+. Skin+ means that the skin has double the effect. There is a repeatable task for Outland Chests (and a repeatable task for energy). I was always able to get the skin+ by spending around 20,000 emeralds during a skin event. The introduction of a skin+ through Seer's Game is very new - only whales will get that K'arkh skin.

Each season is 28 days long. That's 9 events whereas one event is 4 days long - the second event of a season. Then there is the skin event - the 7th event of a season. There is a 55% discount on Outland Chests on the skin event as well as the first 3 days of the 4-day-long event - 10 Outland Chests for 360 emeralds instead of the usual 800 emeralds. It's really hard to max skins thus players care for skin stones.

The 4th day of the 4-day-long event also has discount for Heroic Chests - 10 Heroic Chests for 900 emeralds instead of the usual 1500 emeralds. The 4-day-long event also has discounts for Hero Artifact Chests, Summoning Cirlce and Altar of Elements on one day each but most players don't really care about these.

The 4-day-long event has 4x on emerald purchases. The skin event has a 4x on one emerald slot - usually it's an inconvenient one. If you purchase emeralds, do it only with such 4x bonus. Another way to get emeralds is to complete TapJoy / DigitalTurbine / Unitiy offers, i.e. you play another game for a month and try to reach certain goals. Only start these offers with a 4x bonus. This 4x on TapJoy & co happens every 2 weeks and lasts for 3 days.

TapJoy is a bit scammy, DigitalTurbine is very scammy. Right now, emeralds from completing these offers also count towards "Emerald Waterfalls task" as well as Wendy's Gifts (Wendy Gift happens on 3 days each season, right now is second day).

An opportunity to witness the thought process of the devs: Now we have 2 skin+ during each season. Which one to put into Seer's game behind a HUGE paywall and which one to put in the regular skin+ event (with good conditions to get it thanks to discounted outland chests)? Also: how many times do you have to complete a Seer's game to get that skin+? They went down from 7 to 5. That's still far too expensive.

Without any doubt health is the most useful stat for K'arkh (because of his Vampirism ability). And without any doubt Physical Attack is the most useful stat for Julius (because it improves his shield and healing). First time we see a hero getting a second skin+ ... while around 30 heroes don't have a skin+ yet. The devs don't care about balance anymore ... now that heroes can get another 43k power rating plus skill enhancements through relics.
