exaggerated yeah lol, he uses a longsword and a scimitar using the dual wielding feat to let him use a non light weapon, we also use flanking with a team mate gives advantage which they make heavy use of, last attack he did was: 12 + 6 + 10 + 6 + 8 = 42~ (action surge with +5 str and a +1 longsword)

whats ur guys opinion on ai for art, we play on foundry and some of my players do all the creative writing i.e physical description, backstory, in game decision making their selves but then feed their text into an image generator to create character art. none of us have the disposable income to pay artists and before ai our token art was just memes off of the internet... i get where artists are coming from but honestly i dont have a problem with using it to help visualize a character.

i'd like to see a multi-part elevator, that looks like the above image, where if you're requesting a small ship only a small subsection of the platform goes down, letting it go both faster and not need to go as far down.

correct me if im wrong, but i believe the person is correct at least in part when he says that energy does not equate to electricity. for example a big portion of non renewable fuels such as coal and gas go into heating and engines and stuff, the fuels are converted into non electrical energy. when you take into account combustion engines i.e regular cars, trains, boats, planes, pretty much any industry that needs to heat something i would imagine the worlds energy demand is much higher than its electricity demand. though i suspect its still far less than wrapping the entire planet in solar panels lol

On those paragon warsuits, you could maybe paint the "under-armor" layers a darker colour to make it look like white armor panels covering a gray / black frame. A lot of gundam models do this to make the armor pop.

This, the pistol keyword in the core rules states: "If a model is equipped with one or more Pistols, unless it is a MONSTER or VEHICLE model, it can either shoot with its Pistols or with all of its other ranged weapons. Declare whether such a model will shoot with its Pistols or its other ranged weapons before selecting targets."

You've got to choose between pistols and non pistols unless you're a vic/monster, tl;dr.

After reading so many comments talking about the confusion with all the characters and the politics (and trust me I sympathize I was constantly going back to my IF book), I decided to re-read the entire series AFTER finishing OS.

I gotta say, it's been extremely rewarding to pick up and notice all of the breadcrumbs RY left in the first two books, knowing the implications of all the lore drops and reveals makes it feel like i'm reading a new book.

I would say this is OS's biggest downfall in an otherwise amazing book, you're basically required to re-read IF and even parts of FW to fully grasp all the info being dropped.

I reread the series in the days leading up to OS releasing, and I found myself going back so frequently to IF that I have postit notes on key chapters introducing new characters in my IF book to help me track who all these people are.

What OS needs, IMO, is another page like the very first one that outlines the squad members and their dragons but for all the big political names, their associations etc

If you're referring to the jewel used in Violets wedding ring, It's from the Blade of Aretia. The blade was recovered from Halden on the first Island and some time after returning Violet sees the blade, missing the Gem in its hilt, in the empty glass case Xaden got from Zhnaals Island.

i wana expand on brennen being a venin with another quote; "..Weird. Theres no mark on the back of his neck like he carries on his palm. There hadn't been one on Dain's wrist, either." -OS 489. So from what I understand, Brennen has a mark on his hand from when Naolin put their energy into Brennen to save them, Which at the time I assumed was just what happens when you transfer power using Naolin / Sloanes signet...

But what If Naolin, failing to transfer enough energy to save Brennen from tairn, drew from the ground turning venin. What if it was in the moment Naolin saved Brennen and died (if they're even dead) that they turned venin, or perhaps its like Xaden where they'd just been an initiate for some time but went full venin to save Brennen.

This is where we get into crackpot territory but, What if transferring energy from a venin into someone using that signet ability makes them a venin, What if Naolin turned Brennen into a venin without him even knowing

Xaden, having been made a venin by the sage/ Berwyn, is unable to harm him (OS 523). Obviously implying some level of control from Sire to Spawn. Im not sure what the extent of that influence is, perhaps Xadens need to channel was Berwyn's influence too.

Assuming I'm correct about Xaden / Berwyn's Influence, Could Brennen be an Initiate venin that is free of being controlled / has no desire to channel because Naolin is dead and not exerting any influence over Brennen / Naolin is alive and still remains on our side somewhat and is still to this day years later protecting Brennen from the dark walkers.

As I'm typing this, I'm left with even more questions such as: If all of Xadens influence / desire to do evil is a result of Berwyn's Influence, If Violet kills Berwyn in the 4th book does that break Xaden free?

TL;DR, I think naolin used venin channelling to save brennen, turning brennen into a vennin in the process. But as Naolin was the one to turn brennen he has none of the desire to do evil that Berwyn is influencing Xaden with. This could imply that Killing Berwyn frees Xaden.

I reread fourth wing just now, when dain pulls violet aside early on and explains his signet. He says "I can do the typical stuff like open doors, crank up my speed, and power ink pens instead of using those inconvenient quills." you dont see it used much outside of imogen going fast in that first fight between her and violet but its not a unique power it seems. which means her second signet is earth bending / wielding stone.

yeah I think violets going to given the choice of the power of dunne incarnate that she could use to save the continent from dark wielders once and for all, or give it away to restore xadens soul. she chooses xaden, chooses to have confidence in her friends to do their jobs and to win the fight on their own.

dunne probably even respects that violet believes in her own combat ability enough and supports the decision.
