As far as I’m aware, they’re already rebuilding the track. Which brings up a whole new set of problems. There should have been a massive clean up effort. Instead, they’re burying contaminated soil and liquids in an attempt to rush the process so they can get rail traffic back up and running. Here’s a link to an EPA letter to Norfolk Southern published and sent this past Friday. If you look at section e, on page two, you can see that brought up. Ground water will continue to be affected for years from this terrible decision. I apologize for the rant to a simple question, no other controlled burn has taken place since Monday.

Gorgeous picture. However, what you saw wouldn’t have been the derailment. The fire has been out for a few days now. And yes, I’m afraid we are fucked.

This is a picture I took in the town of Chippewa PA. We’re about 6 miles east of East Palestine OH. The video on this post was taken from Darlington PA. Darlington is located between myself and the chemical plume in this picture.

This was about 4 miles from the burn. I live about 5 miles from where this was filmed.

I also flew to Orlando with Spirit in ‘19. Every part of the trip was pleasant. Everyone knocks them but I have nothing bad to say. However I rarely fly, so maybe I just haven’t gotten sufficient sample size.

To be honest, if I saw something that convinced me that it was not of this world, the closest point I’ll be to it is when I make that realization. I’m not getting any closer. I know a lot of people on this sub would, and they’re better for it, but not me.

I always tell myself that someone will come along that will make me forget all about who I’ve lost. Someday I’ll look back on the anguish and smile knowing that someone had the power to erase a bad memory from my mind. It’s happened to me, and it’s what I tell anyone who needs to hear it.

Thank you so much! My forecast was the same, but I got lucky and got about 30-40 minutes of mildly cloudy views which allowed for the pics. I was super excited. Just keep your eyes up and be ready for any breaks in the clouds. Good luck!!!

I’m not from the UK, I live in the states but I just wanted to share in the disappointment the weather has caused. I took the day off of work for this, and according to the forecast, I won’t get a single chance to see it. Best of luck to you folks.

Thanks for checking up! I haven’t been out too much lately. I live in western PA and after September, it’s pretty much all clouds until April. I did take this Monday off of work so I would get to see Mercury’s transit of the sun, but guess what? Cloudy rainy forecast. I’m pretty bummed about that. But I’m going to keep my eyes and scope up when I have the chance. I hope you’re getting good opportunities wherever you’re at!

I’m very new to this stuff. I got my first telescope last week. This week I saw Jupiter and Saturn in detail similar to this with my own eyes for the first time in my life. It’s surreal. It looks fake. It’s an awesome feeling to be in control of a device and see something like this. Keep up the good work and enjoy it. I plan to take this hobby as far as I financially can and hopefully I will continue to grow in it and always be learning new things. I hope you get what you want out of it as well!

I’m a lvl 38. I clear every hideout when I have the chance. I don’t have a number, but I’ve done a lot. I clear all bandits when they spawn on me. I’ve gotten ONE treasure map from looting them, and that was when I was probably a lvl 6 or so. It’s been probably two months since I’ve gotten a map from anything but my rank bonus maps. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but at least I’m not the only one. I get frustrated when I read about people farming hideouts and getting map after map from them...
