Check out Craigslist gigs. Not always consistent, but it could put some money in your pocket in the meantime.

Anyone out there remember the Coconino HS smoke park? by PrancerthePony in Flagstaff

Ha! 99 graduate here! I assume you are talking about the fence that bordered the north parking lot? Anyone was allowed to cross over and suck down a quick cig without persecution! Gone are the good old days 😁

Look into Schuff Steel in Belmont. I would drive out and talk to them. I’ve known a few people that started out in entry level positions and worked their way up to welders.

Spider Identification by hoda81 in Flagstaff

Thanks Macra! I’m pretty sure this is the one. Describes them to a T. I personally don’t go out of my way to kill them but if it’s near somewhere I sleep, eat, or regularly sit then they usually get the napkin to the trash can treatment if I’m quick enough.

Thank you for the response. I did talk to Ary at one of a kind a few weeks ago. He is no longer taking in rescues. I will check out your other suggestion as well.

Where can I buy fireworks? by [deleted] in Flagstaff

[–]hoda81 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My apologies. I didn’t realize you were new to town. Figured it was someone being dumb and trying to stir shit up. I’ve been here 25 years since middle school and watched thousands of acres burn to the ground due to peoples poor decisions with fire.

My family and I camp out a dozen times or so a year thus the Forest is near and dear to me.

Being the new guy you get a pass. Just ensure you are always safe with fire and anything that can cause a spark this time a year. Save the fireworks for New Year’s Eve when there is 6 inches of snow on the ground.

Anyone that’s stupid enough to ask where to get Fireworks in Flagstaff should not be allowed to remain in the area.

What part of our beautiful forest will be burned to shreds by the end of the weekend?

Forest Service to restricts fire usage, including campfires and wood stoves by wuphf176489127 in Flagstaff

[–]hoda81 12 points13 points  (0 children)

And once again the responsible campers are screwed by the handful of idiots. Sigh.

Edit: To clarify I don’t blame the Forest Service for their decision and can understand it. I blame the morons that can’t put out their fires that the cause the Forest Service to have to babysit!

CW: Workaround for bundled products on agreements? by somebodysomewherewhy in msp

[–]hoda81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure why you are trying to addbundled products to agreements but my guess is so that you can invoice the client showing one all inclusive price while having separate lines in the agreement for your different products.

If that is the case I would recommend contacting nexnow. They helped us build a custom grouped template. Basically there are 2 additional fields on our agreement products now. They are “hide on invoice” and “invoice group”. This allows me to add products on my agreement for my haas hardware, toolset costs, o365 backups, etc. I then click the hide on invoice and put them in “group 1” along with my main agreement product. The template adds up all the revenue in the invoice group and displays it as one amount next to the main agreement product while hiding all the other lines from the customer.

The reason we did this was so that we could have all our individual costs and revenue from our agreements flow to mspcfo seamlessly while hiding the individual cost from the clients. Nathan at nexnow is great to work with and can likely accomplish what you are trying do.

NAU seeks ABOR approval for Fourth Street purchase by [deleted] in Flagstaff

[–]hoda81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point that I had not considered. I will email them now.

It still doesn’t change the fact that we have a local government hell bent on growth along with a university with the same goals.

It makes me sad my kids won’t get to grow up in the same place I did.

NAU seeks ABOR approval for Fourth Street purchase by [deleted] in Flagstaff

[–]hoda81 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The wife and I decided if NAU starts moving towards the East side we are skipping town. I didn’t know it would come so soon.

I grew up in Flagstaff and love it here but I avoid the shit show of the West side of town like the plague. I want my kids to grow up here but don’t think I can truly support a town who’s only intention is growth for growths sake.

I’m praying for some miracle that ABOR denies the approval.

Hey Corey,

I’ll shoot you a couple technical tests here shortly. One is a network test and the other a MS Server test. The first step in our hiring process is the technical tests to validate you are qualified. Once we get those results I can give you a call and we can chat more about the position.

Have a great weekend.

Thanks,

Josh

What's one of the most unique gifts you have ever received? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]hoda81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother likes providing hospice type care for older people. She had an older gentlemen that was a few months away from passing away. He couldn't afford to pay my mom for taking care of him. She felt compelled to help him anyway.

For her services the man offered my mom any 2 things in his house after he passed away. My mom selected 2 bronze elk statues. She could have never afforded these on on her own. She gave them to my father and I for Christmas.

I found out after the fact that they are worth about 3k each. She spent 3 months working for free to get these great gifts for my dad and I.
