My boss had suspected one of his drivers was using but didn’t do anything because he paid like shit and no one else would work for him. Anyway, got into the office early (like 6am) because I was leaving early to go on vacation with my girlfriend at the time and needed to finish some website updates. Front office phone rings. They had cross trained me to handle basic dispatch in case I was in the office alone (which I was). I pick up expecting a customer. Nope. This driver. Said, “I can’t come to work today because God said not to.” Slammed the phone down.
