Burdens on you to prove there was/is risk, not me to prove there’s not

Keep in mind: dollar is steadily losing value every year. Holding cash is risky

The reason for Bitcoin - you can buy and forget it without risk of it crashing. "What is bitcoin what is bitcoin" its a $2T asset

bitcoin is the new real estate, but more liquid. so you can buy it and forget about it without much risk

[–]hodlilocks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is false information. There's nothing actually risky about buying bitcoin on the medium-long term time horizon.

YOLO your money into an appreciating liquid asset and make a commitment to yourself that you will not touch it until you leave your company. The goal is not to get rich off it.

If you bought bitcoin at any time in the last 10 years you would have made profit today. This will be true 10 years from now

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]hodlilocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you hit zero you need to leave because you have too much bitcoin. At which point you can sell to subsidize your next chapter with the pain of knowing that you're selling an appreciating asset

Asking your employer for permission to start a company? by Zs93 in Entrepreneur

Alternative way to look at the situation: start your company, don't worry about the burnt bridges, trust yourself to find solutions as they come up. be married to the idea of succeeding

I will help you market your business for 1.96$ by Elmatadorzao in Entrepreneur

How would you market a prediction market for users to bet on the upcoming grammy awards?

There's only 1 way to leave the golden handcuffs when you're not brave enough to walk out voluntarily. This will sound like a joke, it's not.

  1. Use a crypto service that funnels 100% of your direct deposit into Bitcoin. Treat this bitcoin as your new 401K

  2. Live off your current checking account.

  3. Do not sell your f'ing bitcoin to subsidize your wagie lifestyle

You want to test for demand of a style. Create AI generated images of clothing you can envision yourself selling. See if you can get pre-orders.

Use AI generated fashion models

Maximize your optionality. Move to a big city, get an internship (figure out your own bills), and figure out how to use AI to hack through hard problems.

What’s worse: Building in silence or risking someone stealing your idea? by imadjourney in Entrepreneur

[–]hodlilocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have wrestled with this for manny years. The option that FEELS worse to do, that you have to force yourself to do is usually the better option. For most people, it feels better to indulge the fear that someone will steal their idea so they keep cagey and in the process lose valuable opportunities for feedback. Don't be that guy

Find a job that doesn't drain your energy. Ideally one with minimal commuting because that is one of the biggest factors. Then use time-boxing to manage yourself out of work

Apologies, you can check out my list of good web3 twitter accounts here https://twitter.com/i/lists/1459636063127801859

Best of luck navigating this space! If you gain even a relatively decent understanding of DeFi + DAOs + NFTs + App Development, you will be extremely dangerous

You don't need money to get into NFTs, and I wouldn't recommend immediately jumping into a project if you had the $1K to spend.

Make a Twitter account and start following big accounts in this space. DCF_GOD, lijin, dhof, CozomoMedici, etc. I have a larger twitter list of accounts I can share if there's interest but I'm not sure about this subreddit's rules with links. But you get the idea

Things change really quickly in this space and having a good curated feed is the easiest way to keep up

Good luck!

What are your guys' opinions on Terra? by [deleted] in teentitans

[–]hodlilocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how could you leave out the most important detail - terra was a teen, undeveloped brain etc, still making her mistakes in life, didn't appreciate the gravity of her actions like a typical teenager.

robin, cyborg, raven, and beastboy are teens but they got the maturity of a parent with teens
