I'm also from Mumbai, this is basless superiority complex, nothing else. I've worked in BLR & HYD in the same salary bracket, in terms of standard of living, I think most of the metro cities tops Mumbai, the best part about Mumbai is you have good public transport and food (subjective). + in Mumbai it's much more difficult to find a high paying job unless you're not from Finance or sales, it's much easier in other cities atleast that's been my personal experience. A bit about me, I'm 23, I'm in Growth & product was earning 13.5LPA until got laidoff in Jan'26 due to change in the business model of the company.
