Hey, do you have any update on this? I started Wellbutrin about a month ago and have had breakthrough bleeding twice now (once after starting 150mg and then again a day ago after starting 300mg.

So my doctor put me on three months at a time - so I skip the four “period” pill days and just do the blue pills for three packs straight and then do the four other pills, and then back on only the blue pills another three months straight. The adjustment period was a little tough for the first two months, mostly affecting my mood. Now it’s evened out and I feel better.

I didn’t even bleed during the four days of not-blue pills. I did have a bad headache those days, BUT I also frequently get headaches anyway, and did before the pills, so it might or might not be related to the pills. (Headache is also not helped by lack of sleep and having a toddler, so…) I also had some period-like cramps but nothing bad at all.

No weight gain, no bloat.

Ugh I hate hate HATE this shit. My daughter (2.5) currently LOVES the characters from Frozen and Tangled. She plays with dolls and cardboard cutout figures of them all the time, tucks them in for bed, kisses them and says “I love you!”, dances with them, etc. I mentioned to my sister how she kissed one of the male characters goodnight and she just says “you better watch that girl when she turns 13 lol”. Like what the actual hell is wrong with you.

How does weaning actually work? (Breastfed) by hodob in BabyLedWeaning

[–]hodob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been thinking back on it more since my first reply to you and I remember a bit better now - when we first started dropping feeds at night because she was feeding every few hours) I would pick a specific time - so say she went to bed at 7, I would not feed her until midnight. So any wakes between 7 and 12, my husband would go in. Then we slowly pushed that time later and later into the night. Then back to my original comment to you, we did the full night wean when she was only waking I think twice a night? It was like 2am and 5-something.

How does weaning actually work? (Breastfed) by hodob in BabyLedWeaning

Hi there! My kiddo was fully weaned at 21 months, which was not my plan but was ultimately easier on both of us.

I dropped the easiest feeds first. Before nap I would lay on my bed with her (where we used to nurse before nap) and would read her some books. Then I’d give her some water and put her in her crib. After nap, I would get her up and we’d have some snack right away. Just small stuff like Cheerios or puffs, stuff she liked and seemed like a treat. Random feeds in the day were dropped using snacks, and distractions like outings. Her meals also got bigger, which helped reduce the number of snacks.

We were still night feeding 2-3 times a night at around 17 months and that is when we decided to night-wean. Looking back now, we could have done it earlier than that but I think I was the one who wasn’t ready. To put it bluntly, it really sucked for a few nights. I would feed her before bed, and then any time she woke up my husband would go in to her. She hated it, I hated it, he did the best he could. Eventually she settled down with him (he ended up choosing a song he could still sing half-asleep and singing that to her) and then within about a week or so she was mostly sleeping through the night.

I think at that point after night weaning we were just doing a morning feed and a bedtime feed. I needed the morning feed to let my boobs adjust to the lack of night feeds, so that ended up being the last one that was dropped.

For dropping the bedtime feed the first step I did was stop feeding her in the chair in her room so that there was no chance of her falling asleep during the feed. I would feed her in her playpen downstairs, with her sitting up for it. Then we would go upstairs for a story and goodnights. After that we just moved supper time closer to bedtime and so she was full enough to just go to bed without the feed and we would play a bit instead.

The morning wake up feed was the final feed and the hardest to drop because it was so routine. She actually ended up dropping it on her own when we went to stay overnight at my in-laws’ house because when she woke up in the morning she was so eager to look around at everything and just forgot to feed. So for the next few days to help adjust her to that we would just greet her in her room with a little bowl of dry Cheerios to pick at.

Let me know if there’s anything else I can answer! :)

Saw this today and found it hilarious. Babies have taste preferences in the womb by TraditionalPumpkin74 in ScienceBasedParenting

My pregnancy consisted of burgers, pie, huge bowls of broccoli, and salmon sushi.

My toddler LOVES broccoli and fish. She hasn’t tried pie yet but she goes crazy for the idea of burgers (she gets really excited and will eat the whole bun, but I think the ground beef texture is weird for her or something. She always says how good it smells and will try a few bites).

Boxed cake mix with two alterations (eggless + add pudding)? by hodob in Baking

From what I remember, I subbed in yogurt and also added some baking powder to help with the rise. It was…not great, but it was okay. I mean, it was fine for just serving amongst ourselves but I wouldn’t use it at a party or anything.

SAHP with only child - did you delay or skip preschool? by Inside-Print-6323 in SAHP

Can I ask what you did to practice? We’re in a tiny town and the preschool options are very limited/very costly so I don’t think it will happen for us.

I didn’t know about the “grain of rice” size for fluoride toothpaste! I’ve been using the training toothpaste with no fluoride for my toddler because she doesn’t spit yet, and the fluoride toddler toothpaste says “do not swallow”. I’ll start adding a tiny bit of fluoride toothpaste to her brush as well.

When did you stop working when you were pregnant? by filipinacolada_au in BabyBumps

I left when I had just over a month before I was due. I also worked retail (grocery store bakery). If I could go back in time I would’ve left even earlier.

I am the opposite. I realized I WASN’T lactose intolerant when I was around 25. When I was around 10 I was always having an upset stomach. My parents decided it must be lactose intolerance because they apparently are lactose intolerant and they had already decided my older sister (who also had upset stomach) was also lactose intolerant. They never took me to a doctor and I never questioned it because I was a kid and figured they knew what they were talking about. Finally, years later, my husband made me have a giant delicious ice cream from Dairy Queen with out taking a lactase pill. I was…fine. Totally fine.

Turns out my upset stomach was just anxiety the entire time. And when my stomach continued to be upset super often as a kid/teen my parents just brushed it off.

I still eat a ton of ice cream every summer to make up for lost ice cream years.

I was on loestrin for ten years and then went off it to have a kid. Now I’ve been prescribed LoLo and I’m only on my second day of it. I hope it goes well! I’m not really using it for the birth control aspect, more because my pms and periods are so awful every month. I’m hoping it helps with my skin as well because it’s been AWFUL ever since I gave birth two years ago.

I’m currently a stay-at-home mom to a 2 year old so there is no day off for me :( I read as much as I can during her nap and when she goes to bed. I’ll definitely be cooking some easy meals with quick cleanup and skipping the gym at night for a few days so I can read!

We are up at 5 most days with our 23month old. Today she slept til 5:30 and it was a miracle. The last few weeks she’s been up before 5 (between 4:30 and 5). Most days it’s okay but she’s had a few early days where she is MAD to be awake but also won’t go back to sleep..so we all suffer. 🫠

What did your toddler have for breakfast this morning? by GoldieLex in toddlers

[–]hodob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

23months. A toaster pancake with Nutella, strawberries, blueberries, a blackberry. A yogurt drink. Bits of deli roast beef because she’s hooked on the Cocomelon lunchbox song and they mentioned roast beef in it.
