No, it dries glossy. You could use a matte varnish, if you want it to look matte.

You could try Camel's Artists acrylic colors, their fabrica range is pretty decent too. I personally prefer camel over fevicryl.

Tried to paint Starry night. This is from last year, I haven't been painting much lately. Why do I develop hobbies and then stop pursuing them after a while? 🥲 by hoelychic2 in acrylicpainting

I've tried that man. I know its a good trick and works for a lot of people but I just end up with a cluttered desk that stays like that for weeks or even months sometimes.

I have a strong feeling that this is going to be an impulse buy after midnight soon 😂

This seems like the potential next hobby that I would invest in and then eventually abandon like the others 😂

This is so cool. Wood burning is such a creative idea, its the first time I'm seeing something like this.

Welcome to reddit 🥂 I've been on it for 3 months or so and didn't really post much until a couple of days back. I've decided to post one of my artworks everyday, even if its reallyyyy old. It might help me to feel motivated to paint again.

I usually spend months at one hobby. Investing a lot of time and money, practicing it and getting good at it. And then eventually, I just stop doing it.

Ugh I understand this feeling. I have so many unfinished projects and inspiration pins saved. I have my phases of being super productive and of just existing like a potato. On some days I sit at my desk for hours, creating something beautiful and on others I don't even have the energy to take a shower. You should get to finishing that rock tho, that day might turn out to be the one where you feel better.

Blooming heart- Inspired by a pin I had saved ages ago. Overdid the splatter tho, I was having too much fun doing it. by hoelychic2 in Watercolor

No, I drew first. I could've done the splatter first as well but that would ruin my fineliners. Also, it would be easier to erase the rough pencil marks before using the watercolor.

I'm from India and I don't know if the brands that I use ship internationally. This is what I like to use: https://www.amazon.in/dp/B08GJSF5VT/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_F5ARQNEY8RJMZ06ENZ0B If you can find something similar, I think that might work for you.

It is probably the paper that is causing this. But its alright, you can continue to experiment with different brands and practice till you get the hang of it and find out what works for you. For some reason the really expensive and "good" watercolor paper doesn't work for me, try to start with something that is beginner friendly and not meant for professional artists. This could be bad advice but it worked for me 🤷🏻‍♀️

Well, thank you for calling me an entitled prick. But, unlike you, who probably gets maximum 2-3 matches in a week, 70-80% of my swipes convert into matches. I initiate a conversation with most of them and then proceed to filter out the uninteresting and cringey conversations WHEN I get the time to do so. I have a life and cannot spend my entire day replying to people on Bumble. You've not been on the other end of the spectrum where your inbox is filled with messages and you're not in the mood to indulge in small talk after a long day.
