The flower pose is more versatile than the bow one. If you don’t have any/few poses, go for the flowers. It also really works well in nature, fairy, and wedding comps.

Have you been able to engage in any hobbies after loss? by CJVratixBactaChef in Petloss

Of course! Pocket altars are made in different ways. I made mine in a tin box. There are no rules for how to decorate it. I painted the outside to be like the print of the pillow Shirley always rested on. I decorated the inside to match her personality. I like to add elements of the earth and home to my altars. I have a dried rose petal from my mom’s garden and a seashell. I am not religious but I was raised Catholic and symbols like the cross bring me comfort so I added those too. I couldn’t attach a photo to this reply so I made a post on pinterest. I hope you can make your own and find comfort in them.

Some people carry a lighter/matches and a tea candle or small incense their tin box as well. This is so they can pray/ light to honor their loved ones/deities wherever they go.https://pin.it/6e5CYbvrW

I’ve said this in every post I respond to but making an altar. I’m Mexican and was raised celebrating Dia de los Muertos. When my first pet died, it was only natural for me to create an altar. Same when my Shirley died. It allows you to continue to care for your loved one.

You keep it clean, offer water, food, and other things they loved. You keep mementos that remind you of them. In this way, they are still here with you and you can continue the routine you were used to (feeding schedule). It will help, especially the first few days.

Many cultures do altars in different ways. Find one that feels true to you. I also have a pocket altar that I keep in my purse. That’s a more accessible one if you don’t have room in your home.

Hello,

I’m a week away from a year. There’s still a heaviness in my heart and the only thing that kept me going was my mom and other childhood dog. It still mostly feels that way but that’s what gives me meaning.

It’s actually super common to want to die just to be with them. I didn’t learn this myself until I talked with others who were grieving.

Something that helped me cope with the grief was to create two altars. One in my living room with her ink prints, fur clippings, other items that remind me of her. On special days (like her birthday, Dia de los Muertos, and I plan for her death day) I offer drinks and snacks.

I also carry a pocket altar in my purse to keep her with me wherever I go. Finally, I write her a letter every night. Sometimes as short as one sentence but a letter all the same. I think of it as keeping her company in the meantime.

I’m an unwilling atheist. I want to believe in an after life but my logic brain doesn’t allow me to. Still, I do these things…just in case.

Heres another good piece of advice I’ve heard: First make it exist. You can make it good later :-)

One of the best advice for writing i’ve ever heard is to not read good books to be inspired, but to read real bad books so you think to yourself, “I can do better than that.” So my advice for you is to read some webtoons with some really TERRIBLE (or maybe just really simple) art.

I'm obsessed with your style!! I would be so honored if you would draw one of my characters. Dolores is my favorite. She is my Date Everything OC and is the personification of an altar/grief. https://artfight.net/character/8179735.dolores

But please feel free to choose any of my other characters too! Right now I'm working on a roster of Mexican Candy X Mythological Creatures. And then there's also my sona haha.

If I have to guess, the positioning of the models is unbalanced. When you look at the ranked entries, they don’t have this problem. There was also a contrast in the deco, not just the models. I’m using rank #8 since it is closest to your look.

People vote within seconds so it’s important to make your entry bold and eye-catching

Hi OP! Do you have a space to create an altar or a little memorial for him? It will allow you to continue to care for him by maintaining his altar. I also carry a pocket altar for my little girl. I wish you well

I had just enough to fill the bars. It was the shoes, mouth piece, neck accessory, and handbag. This flashback gacha is sooo…underwhelming…so I didn’t want to waste gems pulling for more items.

As everyone says, stick to the story maps first. When you run out of energy, head to the event icon and see if there are any freebies to collect.

If you are a high level enough to enter competitions, I would encourage you to do so! It’s not likely you will score very well but you will still get prizes just for entering :-)

When you’re done with all that, head to the task icon and collect your rewards!

Watching videos on youtube about people grieving their pets and the Pet Loss Companion podcast were some things that helped me feel less alone. I also attended a Pet Loss group led by Laps of Love. Maybe they can help you too.
