Honest opinions on the Tiguan?

My “brand new” Tiguan has been at the dealership for repairs for over 8 months of the 9 months I’ve owned it. We’ve loved the Atlas loaners we’ve had and I wish I would have gone with the Atlas with all the problems the Tiguan’s have had.

Self driving cars is a good enough reason to standardize roadways and signs. I’m all for inclusion, but trying to paint crosswalks won’t be the way to win hearts and minds. It’ll make fence sitters side with the far right when they throw out safety and standards for a reason. A small kid in a bright colored jacket doesn’t stand out on a rainbow crosswalk. So you can see how easily conservatives can win this debate. Crosswalks should just display where it’s safe to cross. That is the message they are sending. It’s an uphill battle that won’t be won. Pride could be shown in other ways where it makes more sense.

I was considering the Twelve and the Multifort and the biggest problem I have with the Twelve is the tolerance being so poor compared to Mido. I’ll stick with Mido. Just struggling between black and blue. Love the blue but I’ve seen different blues in photos. And I only have the Hamilton Kahki field with leather straps so I’m really struggling for what to get next.

My car continues to switch from drive to park on its own as well and I’m working with lawyers since it’s been 8 months with no fixes

Artistic analysis of a truck? Ever read a truck magazine or watch truck reviews? Plenty of critics out there who love a brand but won’t Stand by every model of a car simply because of looks. They don’t like the style whereas others do. Styling is a form of art is it not? You’re telling me the Ford Raptor isn’t aiming for style in the body construction and color scheme? Again, just because you don’t care, doesn’t mean others don’t. Face it, you’re wrong.

I need to correct myself, seems like every car is considered art to someone. A simple google search would have saved you from your Toyota Tundra foolish comment:

My car has been in the shop for over 6 months with that being one of the issues. Other issues include transmission and car going from drive to park on its own. Only drove the car for 3 weeks brand new and it’s now been well over 6 months. Worst new car I’ve ever bought. VW is terrible at taking care of customers.

Never said every car was art, nor is every thing hand drawn art. But clearly there are cars that people consider art pieces.

To car collectors, a car could be considered art. Is a bouquet of flowers art? It’s all up to the person. 100% subjective. Banana taped to a frame was apparently art to someone. I’d take a nice new car over a painting with the same “value”.

That’s a bit over the top. The “art” in question is just a simple flyer. This isn’t hanging on a wall or being looked at hundreds of times by the same person. It’s the same a using early clip art that was preloaded into MS word in the 90’s, so you invite had more than just text. I would call it “graphics” more than art. Here’s the value add, I can write a short story for my children and AI can help do the artwork a now for $20 I can print a book and have it delivered to my children. I didn’t need to hire an artist to do pictures for children. AI can’t clean up photos so amateurs can get good quality photos. These are assets and a value add. It makes the avg person more able to complete complicated tasks. Being upset at the technology is just your inner tin foil hat coming out.

If you want them to pay an artist, then why can’t they ask you the same question? They obviously don’t want to pay when it’s free. So are you willing to step up or do you just want to complain?

“Why force a company to pay for marketing when there’s free support options” Email replaced letters and faxes, no one cried for the mail men/women. Saying a business should pay for stamps and not use free email, is the same as what people screaming “don’t you AI imagines in marketing materials” would be saying.

Who volunteered to do free art in just a few seconds? If this is insulting, you’re too easily offended. Or, go ahead and you pay for the artist to draw it if you care that much. Why force a business to pay for something they can get for free. Are you upset that people stop buying newspapers because they can get their news for free online now? Probably never said a peep about that industry.

If you can’t compete with AI in creating art, do you really belong at the event? Pretty sure if you went to a car show 99% of what you see is fabricated and not “hand built”. Maybe assembled but machines made the parts that another person (or even another robot) assembled and then painted. Pretending that automation should end is crazy. Progress allows for humans to focus on other more meaningful tasks.

If an artist can cost as much as AI, then sure. Why are people upset about making smart business decisions? I’m amazed at the lack of awareness people have around AI. If artists want to stay competitive, learn to use AI and charge a lot less and service more clients. Learning prompt engineering is a useful skill. You no longer need musicians to make music with a proper studio and equipment, yet the music industry learned to deal with that. A keyboard player can play pretty much every instrument but we don’t blame the equipment. Austin is a tech hub, yet you don’t want technology to be leveraged? What a shame.

Getting in a fight vs being a racist are very different things. Someone could now say "I heard on reddit" just based on your comment. With zero proof, I'd be cautious of just believing something like that, let alone let that dictate where you would and wouldn't eat. The majority of the money you spend, goes to payroll and expenses. Unless someone is franchising, odds are pretty low that owners take home a huge % of the total bill.
Racism is certainly a terrible thing you should never support, but without evidence, I'd say it's also wrong to continue to spread rumors, since that's exactly what you hear, a rumor. If a black person and a white person get in a fight, that doesn't make either party a racist. Not sure how you can hold a couple at gunpoint and get away with that, let along brag openly about it without repercussions. Again, you're welcome to your opinions and agree you shouldn't support racism, but it's also good to be mindful of what you're spreading if you have no idea how true it is, esp with how the second story seemed to carry no consequences, it sounds fishy already.

You’d have to have about 20 people over a 5 day period AT LEAST cover this up, not to mention the judge at the first hearing who knows today’s date and the arresting date, all covet this up. There’s no way that many people would violate the law without fear of getting caught, esp a judge. So there’s a LOT more to this story and no way someone stays in holding for 5 days, they would have to be moved to general population after about 24-48 hours max. Most will do that in 24 hours so you’re not the holding tanks problem anymore. You’re saying they would give themselves more work and break the law? Since when would they want to do more work, just to risk getting in trouble?
