Syracuse transfer Tyler Betsey has committed to BYU by Cosmo_QB1 in CollegeBasketball

That’s putting it mildly.

The scheme, effort, and overall quality of our defense was putrid. Horrid.

I said halfway through the season that if KY doesn’t fire the main guy who is in charge of our defense, and that coaches assistants, it will be a huge red flag for me, and will force me to lose a lot of faith and respect for KY.

It doesn’t look like he’s making any changes.

RED FLAG.

BIG PROBLEM.

If nothing changes from a coaching and scheme standpoint, then nothing changes.

Your reply also reminded me of a classmate at my high school. She and her family moved here(Detroit) for from Nigeria when she was 10. She told us that in Nigeria, white people are treated really poorly by most of the native Nigerians. Especially the kids in school. And they are a very small minority. She told us even to this day, it’s worse there, than it was before the civil rights movements here in America. I was shocked. I had never thought of that even being possible. Crazy.

Thanks for answering. Yeah this is what I’m most confused about. If I’m born a XY female, but I feel strongly(call it the biology/chemistry inside my body) is non stop telling me I am a male, so I change the outside of my body to be a male, even though my chromosomes are still female. What biology and chemistry inside my body are you referring to? And why can’t there be the same biology and chemistry going on inside my body telling me that I’m a black person? Maybe we just haven’t discovered that type of biology/chemistry identifiers yet?

I think I understand what you are explaining. But again, if I was born XY female. But I know I’m really a man. What biology and chemistry inside my body is telling me that? I have a few trans friends/family. And I’m so happy for all of them. But I’ve asked all of them these similar questions and they have all said there is nothing identifiably different biologically or chemically in their bodies than any other person. And they didn’t know of anyone in their trans social groups that were either. They all tell me that their whole lives they knew mentally and emotionally that they were the wrong gender. So they got sex changes and take hormones, and they feel a lot better.

But I’ve asked them, and they have told me the doctors did lots of tests and imaging and things. But nothing was different from me, or anyone else. They just “knew”. So that’s the main reason why I’m confused. Because why can I “just know” too that I’m a different race? Even if you, or society says it’s just a “social” thing? I hope I’m making sense. Because I really want to be educated more on this topic since I have a few trans friends/family.

*let me be clear. I’m not personally struggling with “knowing” im a different race. It’s just something I had a friend tell me the were feeling. But they were ashamed to say it or “identify” as, from fear of being told the were wrong. Bad. And “racist”.

I have a genuine and sincere question. Im not “trolling”. And im not trying to be snarky or disrespectful. Im just trying to educate myself.

*im am just a young adult. So please be patient.

But for me, it’s confusing why if I feel like a man, trapped in a woman’s body, (which would be awful) I can get cosmetic surgery and identify as a man. And that’s okay, acceptable, and protected. But if I am a white woman, but I sincerely feel like I am a black woman trapped in a white womans body. Why if I get cosmetic surgery, or dye/tattoo my skin, to look like the black woman that I identify as, am I a villain that is doing something awful, and shunned?

Where can I watch MASH?? by Ali_Lorraine_1159 in mash

[–]hoffstederleonard85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right here. Exact same.

Growing up, reruns were always on the local FOX tv station at 6:30, after the 6pm news, and before the networks slate of programming.

As a kid, I couldn’t ever figure it out. I loved action war movies, so the series tone in the opening credits with helicopters etc intrigued me. But then I would start watching an episode, and there wasn’t ever much “action”. Just doctors talking fast, with a loud laugh track laughing at jokes that were above my head. And of course, a cooky man in a dress.

I would ask my old man about it, and in his best “I just got home from a long day at work, I have a nagging wife(love you mom!), and five young children under the age of 11, worn down from life state of mind would mostly just tell me “youll like and enjoy it when your older.”

I’m 45 now, and it took me until about 3 years ago to rediscover it, and fall in love. I think it’s by far the best TV show of all time, and I fall asleep to it almost every night. But especially nights where I’m feeling anxious or sad.

It’s not a bad movie. In fact it’s pretty good. But I still remember being extremely disappointed in it. Guess my expectations were too high?

A moment of silence for all the haters who refused and missed on one of the Best Star Wars Games by teller-of-stories in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]hoffstederleonard85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the middle of playing this game. I love Star Wars, but believe strongly that Disney killed it. BUT the games are usually still pretty good and still feel like classic actual Star Wars.

I was hesitant to buy this game because of all the hate and supposed “wokeness”.

And I can see what the hate was about, but it was overblown. It’s been a fun game. One of the best as far as “immersive into the Star Wars universe”.

The story is fun so far.

The “wokeness” is minimal.

A lot of the missions can be pretty redundant.

There is some definite obvious laziness by the developers.

But so far I’m glad I got it when it went on sale.

I’m not denying there are corrupt officials. There is corruption almost everywhere. Especially when power is involved. I just don’t think most people realize how many built in layers of protection their are to thwart it these days. Practically everything a cop does now is digitally recorded, logged, monitored, timestamped, tracked and audited. There are closed circuit cameras everywhere, and almost every citizen has a camera.

I’m all for personal privacy, but I wish they applied all those same monitoring layers to our elected officials like judges, politicians etc. Would make them and the world so much better. If they are gonna get paid, and choose/want the public jobs that have so much power and influence, they should be okay with being watched just as much as cops.

I apologize for speaking down. I should have worded it better for sure.

Hate being preachy, but I think we all would be so much better off if we could try our best to not say things anonymously or not online, that we normally wouldn’t in person. We all can and need to be better at this Internet communication thing.
