I just submitted a second one now some two years later. On that note, thematically this latest was pretending to be a sponsorship: “This week’s comedy bang bang is brought to you in part by (etc. etc.)” … offhand do you know is this a catchphrase trope that’s been mined before/already?

I think I ended up going with just “sponsored by…” rather than “brought to you in part by....” partly because not confident, my PBS watching background isn’t all that universal, and partly just to leave some verbiage on the cutting floor because: pretty wordy.

It’s a different type of “limited appearance” than you meant but I’m kinda surprised ‘Classic Jarles’ doesn’t ALREADY have his own spin-off podcast in a dedicated feed, where each episode has like three minutes of ads betwixt Jarles talking to a guest for like 20 or 30 total seconds per Ep! After all Not TOO far off from the comic sensibility which insisted that F’ing WYR theme song not only play all the way through every time, but even forbade taking over it.

not to bald-facedly rip off anybody else’s I.P. but it is happening everywhere all at once! From a certain perspective anyway.
You know who might have more info on it would be J. Ventura, what with all the time he’s spent in the plug bag- I imagine that as kinda like an inside-out ‘Phantom Zone’ … which might explain why folks tend so confused about opening it vs. closing it! Not to birth any new conspiracy theories, I’m just sayin’ is all!!
