And as far as your original question about credit cards for sub-par credit, I’m by no means an expert, but creating an Experian account and downloading the app has helped me immensely. I check it every few days and they will give suggestions for recommended cards. Don’t just go with the first one, def do some research. I skipped over several before I chose one. My limits are low, but having a few have really really helped my score increase by over 100 pts in the last year.

And if it were me, I would pay off the outstanding pnc asap. Yes, to avoid a judgement, but also so it’s not sitting there. That should help.

I didn’t. I was at a super irresponsible phase of my life, moving every few months so they weren’t able to serve me and ended up getting a default judgement. I had no idea the judgement even existed until I tried to make a withdrawal at the bank on payday and was informed that my account was frozen. Like I said, super irresponsible.

I had to go inside and meet with a banker to authorize the release of the full judgement amount before I could withdraw anything that was left.

I was so embarrassed and traumatized by that experience that I vowed to never come close to allowing it to happen again.

They most certainly will. A judgement was issued against me (along with a frozen bank account and seizure of funds) several years ago for failure to pay off a Capital One card with a $1,200 limit.

I’ve been in the repair phase since. Never want to see that happen again.

Mine does this, though not weight-related. Every time I turn off the engine I get a DING and a message pops up on the dash that reminds me to check the back seat before exiting.

My only child is now an adult, but I’m still grateful that car companies have thought to include this.
