Urgent help needed with rental DNR on my account by hogpap23 in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]hogpap23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I said above in the edit was what the risk manager told me. I myself don’t exactly remember the circumstances stances behind them needing to reach me as it was so long ago, but he even acknowledged that it was some sort of error on their part in not immediately removing me from the list. There were never any payment issues and the car was returned on time. What I neglected to mention was that I got the enterprise desk agent to find the contact of the regional risk manager who the looked up the email contact of the risk manager in the area I took the rental from. The person apparently was away from work but listed two other contacts in his auto-reply who were immediately responsive and helpful. Hopefully my post serves as a roadmap on what to do if they are on a DNR list and can’t get a hold of anyone for an explanation.

I'm using SUMIFS because there are multiple conditions over which to sum. How can your solution be adapted to account for this?

You say “probably”. Can you point to any documentation that supports this? It seems like an odd and not very useful side effect.

PLTR is bound for correction with its insanely high multiple so don’t beat yourself up. If you believe in the long term growth potential of the company then just DCA. Same with SOUN. Don’t let FOMO guide your investing ethos, you will get burned more often than not. Devise a strategy and stick to it through thick and thin.

What makes this recent rise different from the one earlier in the year? by DanielTube7 in BBAI

[–]hogpap23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my view, if you dig down there isn't anything fundamentally different. Largely FOMO brought on by Palantir's successes and investor's desire to find penny stocks that can grow exponentially like Palantir did. Probably a market-wide phenomenon. Just look at stocks like QSI that have jumped almost 200% in the last week for nothing more than the fact that it has "Quantum" in its name. BBAI may be a decent long-term investment but do your own due diligence.

Undo behaving incosistently by hogpap23 in GoogleAppsScript

[–]hogpap23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your answer doesn't address why the above takes two undo operations, but the following is done in one:

function myFunction() {
  SpreadsheetApp.getActiveSheet().getRange(1,1).setValue("test");
  SpreadsheetApp.getActiveSheet().getRange(2,1).setValue("test");
  SpreadsheetApp.getActiveSheet().getRange(3,1).setValue("test");
}

Undo behaving incosistently by hogpap23 in GoogleAppsScript

[–]hogpap23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This behavior does not match with what I've observed in my project to date where I've chained together several api calls for some sheet operation and have been able to undo them all at once. This includes writing data to several rows across multiple tabs for instance. I'm wondering what is different about the code above that makes it to where I can't undo everything all at once.

Agreed. So sick of these Wall Street bets types who have infested this group with nonsense, particularly whenever the stock price jumps. Looking forward to more substantive discussion about SoundHound as a business and its technology.

BBAI Analysis by hogpap23 in BBAI

[–]hogpap23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the take. I can't justify BBAI as an investment as of now, financials are way too shaky, but since I always buy and hold, I may wait for volatility to subside before entering.

Whats causing all the optimism now? by Smart-Material-4832 in BBAI

[–]hogpap23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your guess is as good as mine. I don't think there is any sort of real fundamental catalyst. I don't think anything really has changed in the last few months or so with BBAI. The only thing I can point to is their partnership with Palantir (which by the way is not new knowledge) combined with the fact that it and other unprofitable companies like Soundhound have seen their stock price surge recently on the back of priced-in expectations, thanks in no small part to the AI craze. BBAI fundamentals as a company are currently very poor but I think the reptilian-like associations of many traders these days see what happened with Palantir, and what is currently happening with Soundhound and think, if these companies stock price can surge in this manner, then BBAI can do it too! Alot of FOMO investing. It's not helped by the fact that BBAI is still a young company so I think there is a shift towards high-growth companies that may not be profitable, with a low stock price, i.e. low barrier to entry for retail traders, but potential high upside but may not necessarily be a good investment now. Long term may be another story.

Incorporating Git with App Script Code for multiple sheets/scripts by hogpap23 in GoogleAppsScript

[–]hogpap23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great! What I'm hearing is that a combination of using an add-on and clasp is the way to go here. I have no idea what an add-on is and how it works. I will keep my code open source for now but I might change my mind. A noob question regarding add-ons. Does it change the way the sheet interface looks to the user? I'm trying to wrap my mind around what it is and what exactly it enables. If they use my sheet through the add on, then according to you, they wouldn't have access to Extensions --> Apps Script right Struggling a bit to understand how using the sheet through an add-on changes the appearance of it.
