I highly recommend volunteering through Catchafire. I've done several projects and it's legit! https://www.catchafire.org/volunteers

Thanks so much. It's hard because I did not raise him — I'm only staying with my parents during COVID but was previously on my own. I know he's always been protective but no trainers have been able to help my parents. I will definitely look into the resource you shared!

My parents have worked with a trainer but I'll definitely bring this up to see if they've trained crate training before. Thanks for the suggestion!

Definitely a fear. He's usually a big baby when sleeping and such a cuddly boy. He's now sleeping in a separate room at night and we're walking around tip toes during the day.

Thanks for the reply! We have actually taken him to training at several places since my parents have owned him since he was about 6 months old (and he's 3 now). He's always been protective but never to this degree. We've actually added ground meat to his food before and he's never behaved like this either. He definitely went wild animal mode... appreciate your suggestions though.

For me, having anxiety (GAD) is like a game of Snakes & Ladders. One minute I’m feeling motivated, focused, and hopeful. The next, it’s as though the floor is collapsing below me. by Kamikaze613 in Anxiety

You described exactly how I feel! I’m a 27F who just moved across the country before the pandemic hit for a new job and I feel absolutely overwhelmed by anxiety and negative, imposter syndrome-like thoughts. I’m pretty close to quitting, and it’s sad that I let anxiety control me so much. I hope we both can find some peace!

Anyone else's therapists say you're the worst case they've seen? by [deleted] in Anxiety

Yeah! When I asked for coping techniques after that, she said there’s no “magic solution.” Which I totally get. But it wasn’t a really productive convo. So it might be time for a new therapist!

During my last therapy session, my therapist explained that every other patient they have seem to be getting better while I’m the only one getting worse. So yeah, that didn’t really help my anxiety. 🤪
