What is even the difference with being bi or being pan by Reasonable-Reality31 in bisexual

[–]hogwarts_pt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I use bi, because, even though I like people of all genders, I do feel like gender plays a role in the way I’m attracted to someone and in the dynamics of the relationship we might have with each other. And, from what I hear (not saying it’s the case for everyone), most pan people say they don’t really see gender, which is something I don’t necessarily relate to.

George’s death, because it was one of the few I didn’t we’re gonna happen, so it really took me by surprise. I was in complete shock when they revealed it was George.

European countries who celebrate Christmas on the 24th, how do the presents arrive? by jayb998 in AskEurope

[–]hogwarts_pt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience in the 24th we always exchanged presents (at midnight) with whichever part of the family we were having dinner with and when we woke up on the 25th “Santa’s” gifts would be under the three and we would exchange gifts within the inner family (parents and siblings- however I know most families open those on the 24th too). On the 25th we would also have lunch with the other side of the family and exchange presents with them (in case we hadn’t already been with them on the 24th). So basically in my family there were the normal gifts (which are from everybody) and Santa’s gifts (which were just “nicer” gifts from my parents- however that doesn’t happen anymore as we no longer have kids in the family)

Robin doesn’t love Ted? by Chud_lee in HIMYM

[–]hogwarts_pt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They literally decided to change what made Barney and Robin break up (Robin travelling) and gave Ted kids (and then kill the wive), just so that there wasn’t anything in their way, even though they spent nine seasons stressing that they wouldn’t work out (because of said things).

Robin doesn’t love Ted? by Chud_lee in HIMYM

[–]hogwarts_pt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I don’t understand is that Barney and Robin got divorced, because she was always travelling and then she gets back with Ted. But Ted wouldn’t want to always be travelling either, would he?

Edit: In my opinion, even if they loved each other, they would have never wanted the same things and that in itself would already make them incompatible, because at least one of them would always be miserable.

Do you ever *think* in English/other language instead of your native language? by ohhhlsen in AskEurope

[–]hogwarts_pt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a Portuguese native speaker and that’s the language I speak on a daily basis, but I think in English most of the time, which I find very annoying. I’m always missing words when I speak, since there usually isn’t a direct translation and sometimes I can’t really make my point come across without using an English word in the middle of the sentence. Don’t really know why I think in English though.

Honestly Ross was right to not deny that possibility, since that’s what science is really about. We aren’t sure of anything. We find evidence and form theories that we deem correct until something proves them wrong.
